Thevroom was so small I had to climb over my bag. Same for the otherwise good shower, you had to plan to get out and in.

It was somewhat a bit difficult to find the hotel at first because their name was changed from First Hotel Strand to COMFORT INN. & it was in the corner of Kyrkogatan & Strandgatan. Then the sign COMFORT INN in on the top of the building which is easily recognisable! Room wise it's actually quite small. Then in the beginning I did not even know how to open the switch for the room nor the window. Luckily, the blonde lady at the front desk helped me & explained to me very lucidly~ Thank her for that!

Very quiet, cozy & nice hotel! Great bargain price too! I guess my room was small was because of the bargain price? Whatever it is I understand it well. Location wise it's a 10 min walk from Sundsvall train station. Of course, this small Swedish city itself is quite small too. But at least this hotel is within walking distance so to get around the city it's not that hard. You can also walk to this Lidl to the east of the hotel by going under the bridge. Then if you're going west bound, that's the main part of Sundsvall city. Many restaurants as well as local shops are around here so feel free to do your shopping there. Wifi in general works pretty well. Just have to be a bit patient for it to load 1st. Then you can take a nice view of the apartments across from the street if you live on the 5th floor. A fitness centre/gym is located B1 you can also get there too by taking the lift down. Overall, pretty nice.

Parking can be a problem. When you are too late you will not get a place in the garage and then have to park outside where mostly only 2hours are allowed

The design of the room is very old-style neutral, I miss some individuality in that room. And unfortunately the matress was too soft for me.

The hotel is really close to the station and the city centre and has a good price. The breakfast offers a wide selection. The room was really large.

no cleaning during your staying in hotel because of saving environment policy, maybe it is ok if you stay 1-3 days, but if you stay longer you need to order cleaning and pay for it what is standard and free in other hotels around.

The first time I stayed the breakfast selection it was much better, in the last two years is the same. The room temperature it seems cold at night, the waste basket in the bathroom it was cleaned in the third day after I asked.

I like that is close to the city.

Rom had all you might need for that price range. No coffemaker and no fridge/mini bar. All was super confortable and functional! Breakfast is very good! Staff is very helpfull!
