We had slightly clogged sink, but we did not call the staff or left any note, so could not say that was a big inconvenience to us. The elevator was not working if someone would forget to close the door on their floor. We would just go 1 floor down and notice the door was not shut there, so we would take the elevator from this floow to the reception.

The staff was very helpful, they managed to check us in earlier than we expected as our room was ready for our arrival. We had our window facing inner yard of the building but it reduced any noise from the street, so we would have our windows open during the night. For breakfast you are offered a menu of warm dishes that we mixed, removed or added ingredients, so there was plenty of flexibility offered.

Very very small room for the price point. Cold room and the heat didn’t work, although they brought a portable heater up, but it didn’t seem to work well either.

The coffee machine in the room looked fancy but when you made it, the water didn’t seem to get as hot as we like, but that was probably our fault. Some instructions would have been good.

This property is elegant, clean and efficient. The location is ideal, especially if you like to walk. All the big areas to see are easily walkable (with in 1 mile). It is also beautiful, quiet and comfortable. We splurged for a deluxe room with a view, and it does not disappoint. It was exactly what they showed in the website, not the old bait and switch, where they give you a room that you have to stick you head out the window and around the corner to see the view they promise. The breakfast was great too. Even though this hotel is only #21 on the trip advisor hotel ranking, it was fabulous. And less expensive than other higher ranked ones. It also had the old world charm that is hard to “create” in a newer property.

Being located on one of the most beautiful addresses of Stockholm has its perks, but be aware that the sea view rooms come with a whole lot of noise from the street.

The staff!!! Everything you want and need in a 5-star establishment. I had booked the deluxe sea view room, and specifically requested the one showed on the website because of the windows/balcony, as I was getting married and we were going to shoot. On check in, I was checked in to another room, which was not at all what I had envisioned. So on the morning of my wedding day, the staff (Murtaza and Henrik specifically) helped organizing a room change. They went above and beyond in correcting and turning around my experience, for which I am so grateful.

I liked everything about the property.

Beautifully located near boat, train, and tram/bus transportation in a gorgeous part of Stockholm, one of the most splendid cities in the world. The Diplomat is also close to so many museums, shops, parks, and waterways. The staff speak English so well and are very solicitous without being intrusive. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious.

1] I know temperature in Stockholm is not very hot but it can be very humid. The air conditioning was not active for the time period I was visiting. I was not comfortable. 2] The floors were not level (two step up from elevator to hall; two step down when entering into room) - not easy for travelers with heavy luggage. 3] elevator beautiful but terrible due to its being too small and only 1 guest elevator for entire 7 story hotel; it was not working due to outer door open many times

1] location is superior - cannot get any better; 2] breakfasts pretty good but I wish there was a super espresso self-serve machine like in other European hotels; 3] staff excellent particularly Morgan and Cecillia

The room was clean but could use a deep clean.

This hotel is near perfect. The location could not be better, the building is beautiful and the staff are AMAZING. Huge shout out to Amir in the dining room and all the kitchen and bar staff. I understand that this is one of few hotels in Stockholm to have air conditioning of sorts. This will be my preferred hotel in Stockholm going forward.
