Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesIt’s a bit scuffed and sad. Theres no extra space to sit, like sofas in a foyer to wait for friends, or a bar. Furniture in the bedroom was in need of a repaint, shower was in a bathtub, soap in a refill device on the wall, with no shampoo or conditioner. Pillows were small and lumpy. Water glasses were plastic. The breakfast is in a Thai restaurant next door, where you do notice you get what you pay for. No fancy coffees, one kind of milk, runny scramble. But there’s noodles and meatballs if you like that for breakfast!😆I went to a cafe instead, plenty of those close by.

FinlandThe reception staff seemed a bit cold when we arrived and left our luggage for the day. The welcome could have been much warmer. Our bathroom was otherwise in good condition, but the shower looked like it needed a deep cleaning. The breakfast could’ve been better (I would’ve loved to see some pre-cut fruits for example).
Our wish for two baby beds for our kids was granted with no extra cost. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the views from the window excellent.

The room is nice, well equipped, comfortable and clean. Bathroom is clean and amenities are enough. Location is just the spot, very close to the center, all the attractions and metro. You can walk to most of the touristic area and enjoy several bars, cafes and restaurants in the area. Staff is extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. They immediately responded to my requests and my room has been cleaned/refreshed every day. Breakfast is very rich, with plenty of options to eat and enjoy. Breakfast area is spacious, allowing several guests. Hotel is very authentic with its interior design and architecture. The nostalgic nature of the hotel and details are much fun and appealing. Area was very quiet for me that I slept very well. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel very much and I would recommend it highly.

HungaryThe shower is not fully separated from the rest of the bathroom, just a single glass "door" is inserted. You have to manually move the water on the floor (there is an appliance for that) at the end of your shower. It would be nice to have a closed shower in the bathroom.
Excellent location. Gamla Stan 15 min walking distance. Breakfast OK. Just a single elevator, but the stairs are just around it (unlike at other places).
