Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe location was excellent, close to the train station and city center, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. Fortunately, we had a room with a view of the water canal. The size of the room was more than sufficient, with desks and even two single sofas. There was a water boiler in the room, but you could also get free coffee and tea from the machine at the entrance throughout the day (not sure about the night). The breakfast was very good, offering a sufficient variety of both hot and cold options. Everyone at the front desk was very kind, and there was a room available to store our luggages free of charge after check-out. We would happily stay here again.

Superb breakfast, though they repeat the same thing every day. Rooms are Okay, bright and spacious. They should install smart TVs. Beds could be improved in terms of size and comfort. We got back pain because the mattresses were too soft for us, maybe these are perfect for someone else. Colleagues are nice there, very kind and helpful.

United StatesIt’s dated, but comfortable and functional. Note, they do not have lifts, but were kind enough to carry my heavy bag to the room for me. Also, no ac, but fan provided. The windows open to the street which was nice but I had to close them at night due to a loud late party that night, although I suspect that is a rare occurrence.
Easy walk to central station, very kind and helpful staff. Coffee and tea are always available and the breakfast was absolutely over the top like you won’t believe. There are two lovely terraces that I enjoyed during the day. Oh, and there is a sauna downstairs, but don’t miss the traditional bathhouse at the beach to do a sunset swim and sauna. United KingdomThe carpet on the stairs on the way up to my room had a rather gross-looking stain that cheapened the atmosphere. Room nicer than communal areas.
The welcome I received when I arrived very early in the morning to drop off my luggage was priceless. The lovely, kind receptionist was the best thing about my stay. I hope she is very well paid :-) The selection of delicious food at breakfast was brilliant. Very grateful to be able to sit outside in the courtyard in these times of Covid. Lovely plants and sitting area. The rear part of the hotel is housed in a very old building, which I loved. Be prepared for creaking floors and interesting slopes. Beautifully done. Lovely old fire chimney. Huge room. Excellent position, near the station, old town and castle/windmill gardens (lots of wildlife early in the morning). Walk past the lighthouse to see the bridge to Denmark.
