Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

EstoniaIt would be nice to have a small wardrobe for clothes in the room. Outside was -3 degrees and it was quite cold in the room. I think there were already summer blankets so it was a little bit cold to sleep.
The hotel is located near to the city center. Breakfast is good, everyone can find something for himself however there could be more tables. Room was really nice, very clean and furniture seemed to be new.

NorwayThe family room was really small and rather expensive compared to double rooms. Same size but more than double the price. (We stayed first in two double rooms with kids and then in one family room). But this is the only thing really.
Excellent location, only 15 min away from the museum island. We walked everywhere. A big supermarket just a few minutes away, lots of take aways. It was also possible to use the breakfast room in the evening and enjoy the take away. Clean, tidy place.

GermanyThe breakfast itself was great but unfortunately the room where it took place was rather small. The tables are very close to each other. The pillows could be bigger ;) The bathroom clean but not modern.
Very nice hotel for its price. Great location - not too central, but in a quiet district and a subway station Karlaplan in 3-4 min walk distance. You will also have a big shopping center with big grocery store inside next door to the subway entrance basically. Very friendly hotel workers, all smiling and speaking English (thanks for the choco easter egg upon arrival! :)) Really nice breakfast which I haven't expected much in a small hotel and that was included in the hotel price. Pancakes, sausages, fruits, bakery, cheese, omelettes, potatoes, veggies, etc. Even good coffee and apple and orange juice a one can really drink and not feel miserable. The room clean and standard, no big highlights. Really great that you can open the big window to gain some fresh air in the old style way. Anyway, for 75 Euro per night that was a great deal!

SwedenA perfect location for the film events at Cinemateket/Filmhuset, only a 15 minute walk to the cinema. 15-17 minutes from the main central station, with frequent subway connections. Good breakfast, simple but nice room with tea/coffee. Free tea/coffee and cakes at the reception. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed.

United KingdomNo aircon. Ground floor so couldn't open the window. Those rooms should be used for maintenance. It was horrendously hot. For a bit extra get a hotel with aircon. Or at least where one could open a window.
Staff were pleasant enough and breakfast was bountiful. Coffee poor.

LatviaIt was really hard to make changes in the reservation. I already had a reservation amd extending it was complicated. One staff member told me in the morning everything is ok, but the one in the night shift couldn't find anything. I saw the room that my friend got for the same price was way bigger.
