Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MoldovaThe room was modern, but pretty small and the windows were small and I like having a lot of air in the room. The bathroom had a glass wall, which was bery beautiful, but not very practical. You could see and hear everything. There was a privacy shield, but it did not help with the sounds. My husband and I I had to go outside while the other was doing their business, to not kill the romantic vibe completely, it was funny.
The location is great, the staff is very friendly and professional. We stay here every time we are in Sinaia.

United KingdomThe road at the front of the hotel could be improved.
Lovely historical building with character, well located, close to Peles Castle, very clean and comfortable. The members of staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful experience and we will definitely return. Very satisfied with the breakfast display.

RomaniaAn excellent choice for accommodation in Sinaia. We loved everything about this vila. It's very close to the city center and it has everything you would need for a lovely stay. Beautiful grounds, well taken care off, gorgeous architecture and nicely decorated rooms with all the amenities. We had a room with a balcony which had a great mountain view. The staff was very accomodating and the breakfast was good with plenty of choices and good coffee.

RomaniaThe villa has a beautiful wooden interior, well conserved, that takes you back in time. The balcony view and the birds chirping, together with an after rain freshness of the air is a memory that stays with us, especially since we arrived here after a long period of heat wave from Bucharest and we were welcomed with a rain shower in Sinaia :) Nice room, nice people.

SwedenThe residence is an old cozy house with a nice interior. The staff was welcoming and the cleaning very good. Upon arrival we recieved a pass for a free bottle of wine for dinner. The location is good as well, placed fairly close to the castle and monastery while still not being far from the city center.

IndiaReception staff ability to communicate in English
Old retro style beautiful vila. Reception guy had difficulty in communicating in English. Rooms were comfortable. There is no AC so can be an issue for few, however we kept the windows open for natural cool breeze. Breakfast buffet was delicious with good options. There is a cute cat staying in the vila premises which was adorable. Location is 10 mins walk from the station & close by to all attractions. Overall wonderful stay to feel old world charm.

RomaniaThere is a late check-in, after 15h30-16h00 Close to the train station, but difficult acces by foot for people with heart problems (especially if you take the stairs instead of the road) The fences do not match the rest of the facilities, an update would be beneficial We did not try the Wifi so we don't know if / how it worked
The old furniture, doors, wood floors create a special charm, entire building and garden posses a particular charm The size of our room was very good, it was so spacious, the light was so nice, and it was clean (there was a 2nd extra bed actually) Designed by the same person who designed Peles, which is noticeable Tasty breakfast, nice staff, mini-bar available in the room fridge Big, clean bathroom; big bed Nice outdoor space, room for the cars, islands for guests to enjoy time outside

MoldovaAll the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. Breakfasts were varied and tasty. We had lunch once in the hotel restaurant, and it was also very good. They even offered us a free bottle of wine, which was very nice. The location is excellent. We moved around the city by car, but most attractions are very close, so you can definitely walk to them.

CanadaI wish there were more fresh fruits available for breakfast. We came by train and there is a bit of an uphill walk from the train station. If you had lots of luggage I would recommend taking a taxi from outside the train station.
This beautiful villa is centrally located, on a quiet street, which allowed us to rest well during our stay in Sinaia. We really enjoyed the well maintained garden, where you could read a book or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The breakfast was served in an awesome sunroom. There was an abundance of choices of food and drinks. Maybe too many :-) We also liked the fact that they offered a couple of new choices every day. Like different salads, dips or deserts... The staff was very friendly and helpful.
