Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

UkraineThe room was dirty. There were dark stains on a white towel and the bed linen didn't look fresh. There was also dust on the refrigerator and hairs in the shower. Yes, the price of accommodation is good for such a location, and I don't expect fancy furniture. But the place has to be clean, it is a matter of hygiene. The good news is that renovations are underway and cockroaches were mentioned in the reviews but not actually observed.
The location is great. The check-in and check-out procedure is well organised, guests don't even have to meet the hotel staff, they just send the necessary information via the chargeautomation service and receive passwords and instructions.

We had to wait 25 mins for the host to respond to messages to know which room was ours, as well as the proper check-in procedure. The phone number provided was useless, as it did not work, at all. We tried calling from different providers, from different phones, nothing worked. The room was dusty.

TurkeyThe location of the hotel is very good. However, no cleaning service was provided during the 4 days of my stay. (toilet paper, trash can, linen change, television, etc.) The light in my bathroom was broken and I could not turn it off.
The hotel's location and room price are really good. I had no problems with transportation.

RomaniaFor this price you can not have higher claims. However, it would be mandatory to receive a towel. The pillow was disgusting, speckled. Because the rooms are rented on a short term rental basis, the owner should make sure that the guests do not listen to music at maximum volume half the night. But overall it was ok, what I expected.
Central room, in Romana Square, close to the subway and taxi station. When entering the building is a small store very well stocked. The price of the room is very low, but the room reflects the price. I did not expect anything more, and less is, basically, impossible.

(photo) 🚩The conditions do not correspond (the promised air conditioner did not work, had to sleep in clothes, the hairdryer also did not work, the shower gel bottle was empty, the only working shower was broken and had very poor water pressure). The rooms do not match what you choose in the photos when booking. 🚩Upon check-in, a lamp was broken. 🚩There are cobwebs in the room (apparently, according to the owner's opinion, I brought and hung them myself) (photo). And the funniest thing is that the owner of this hostel or the support staff are rude and SCAMMERS. (Screenshots are attached in the second review because there is a limit on the number of photos here). When I wrote about some of these problems on the very first day, they replied that I brought cockroaches from abroad to put on a show, the room was clean, and they blamed me for all the breakdowns and said that I would have to pay for them. 😂 ‼️In addition to the terrible conditions, you can also lose money and they will simply deduct it from you fraudulently, blaming you for the breakdowns. And you'll also bring cockroaches home. What saved me was that I recorded a video when checking into the room, and it showed the breakdowns, and they stopped demanding payment from me only after I wrote about it. Don't make my mistakes and don't check in, even despite the low price, you'll be compensated with a fine later, listen to the reviews under this dump!

RomaniaFirst of all, we had no air conditioning, so we had to spend the whole night in freezing cold. Also we had no hot water and the blow dryer was not working. The bathroom was dirty and needs renovation. It had no shower curtain and the water splashed around everywhere. The towels were dirty and had stains, the bedsheets weren’t fresh. We tried to contact the host with the following:”The air conditioning isn’t working. What should we do? ” and we received a dry and useless answer:”You dont”. Not all of the electrical sockets were functional. Constant noise from the neighbors for the whole night with no signs of stopping or the host doing something about it. The front door needs a sign that could help the clients find it more easily. Overall the worst booking experience I had so far. The host does not care about their clients.
The location was good, near the metro station “Piata Romana”. The check-in system was also simple and worked perfectly.
