Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe only thing that I didn't like was that there was a window in front of the shower with only a see-through lace curtain.
The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The WiFi was fast and easy to connect with. The air-conditioning worked well and cooled down quickly. There was free parking in front of the hotel. The location was great because there was just a short walk to the center of the historic old town. The included breakfast had a decent selection and everything tasted delicious...

BelgiumThe room lacks technical maintenance. Shower hook was loose, etc. On Saterday there was a (wedding?) party till late at night below us. Because the room had good insulation, the noise didn't disturb us so much. Only on Saterday the parking was full because of the party.
Classic hotel in a quiet area, at 15 minutes walking from old centre.

RomaniaThe room had only the empty boxes of the amenities (shower cap, sewing kit, shoe polisher) which was strange - if no amenities available, no problem, but better not to leave the empty boxes either. The internet was not working for me on my several devices. The staff said that for other guests it was ok. I didn't really need it, but if visiting from abroad, wifi is a necessity.
The hotel is nice, modern, located close to the Railway Station, in the proximity of supermarket and not far from the citadel. Rooms are large and clean. Breakfast is good - not extraordinary, but ok.

United StatesFriendly and Pleasant Stay. The staff here were especially kind. Even packed a nice to-go lunch when I had to leave before breakfast. Enjoyed dinner on the front patio. Well maintained and clean rooms. The shower was a favorite- full size with shelves in the right places. Location of hotel was excellent- really was just 4 min walk to train station. And a longer but pleasant/fun walk to Citadel/old town.

RomaniaNothing to dislike.
My favourite place in Sighisoare. 5 min walking distance to the train station, 10 min walking to a Lidl market. I am a returning guest here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They serve good and rich breakfast. It is a very clean place and quiet. Good value for money.

HungaryIt was good value for money for us. Good location near to the railwaystation. Eszter at the reception was very helpful. It seems that the hotel was renovated in the near past. The bathroom was big and clearly. A separate restaurant section is reserved for hotel guests. The breakfast buffet offered an ample selection. A particularly good point is that the morning coffee can be ground in portions, made from real coffee to taste, and it was also delicious. The pictures on booking.com are true to reality.

RomaniaIt's quite a walk to the center so take this in mind if traveling with kids - we ended up going by car The breakfast was average The bathroom had a leaky shower The bed was not very comfortable and squeaky There are no mosquito nets on the windows so we ended up with quite a few mosquitoes...
The hotel is clean, big, has a restaurant which offered a decent breakfast. Our room was very big. In my opinion, there could have been an extra couch or an expendable armchair because there was a lot of space and we had been traveling with a baby and a toddler. But all in all, it was a decent stay

The reception staff were pleasant. The location was perfect if arriving by train. The room was reasonably sized with a good shower. The breakfast was very good, as was the evening meal, in particular the steak which was great value.

RomaniaNo comment, it was a very good surprise.
Although the hotel is closed to the train station, the level of noise is very low. The bed was so relaxing with a quality mattress. The ladies from the Reception desk and the ones serving breakfast were very warm, polite and smiling (very rare combination these days!). You can rely on the bar next to reception in case you didn't bought water from Lidl (one small street distance). I recommend you also to have your lunch or dinner in the hotel restaurant (basic food, buy fresh and well cooked), rather to eat in the Old Town restaurants (high prices and poor quality, for example an old apple pie reheated called strudel was 43 lei).

Good and big room, with a very big bathroom. Breakfast was tasty and the personnel was kind, because we drove our motorcycles we asked for a closed parking space and the receptionist agreed to park our motorcycles in the other parking which was closed and not directly on the street where the hotel is.
