Our room had a sewage smell coming from the bathroom. The window and door were cracked for ventilation which made it fine.

The location was beautiful. I loved the stream running through the property. Perfect spot.

There's no washing machine and the city turned off the water supply for maintenance on our second day (not the hotel's fault!).

Nice and quiet location right next to the Transfagarasan, has a dedicated parking space. Owners were very friendly and knew English well. Room was spacious and comfortable. There's a kitchen and fridges. There was even a cat!

We had a ground floor room and sometimes little insects were visiting us, but that was not a problem, as we were in a forest, that’s understandable.

The view is breathtaking. Having breakfast and listening to the sound of a river was an absolutely amazing experience! The room was clean. They have a barbecue zone and a kitchen outside with a fridge and oven, so every one could cook or leave the food. We also ordered a hot tub, it was awesome! As for me, this is the most convenient spot to start your journey to Transfăgărășan. Svetlana and her family were really nice as hosts and made sure our stay was nice.

Our rooms were basic but very clean..We had our own living room, which was really nice. The location is very beautiful, with a small river flowing just beside the accommodation. There is a shared kitchen outside and we could cook and have our lunch/dinner by the river. It was quite cool even though the temperature in Romania was pretty high when we arrived there. The owners were super friendly and accommodated all our needs. Svetlana is really sweet and even though she doesn't speak any English she always tried to communicate with us. Thank you for a most welcoming stay.

The cottage is in a beautiful and quiet mountain area, close to the Bâlea Waterfall (Cascada Bâlea) (15 min by car) where the cable car starts, which takes you up to the Bâlea Lake. Very nice room, superb shower and bathroom, has a shared kitchen. It also has a porch with chairs to sit and relax and a grill area, which we did not use as it was winter. The host is very kind and helpful, they live in the house next to the cottage. It was a perfect stay.

Keep in mind that this place is situated on the roadside, away from the closest city (though can be reached with a few minutes car drive). So, if you're seeking a serene escape with beautiful scenery and friendly hosts, it's an excellent choice. Just be prepared for a more secluded environment away from the city's hustle and bustle.

I recently stayed at a place for one night, and it was quite an experience. The landscape was indeed beautiful, with impressive mountains and green valleys in the vicinity, offering a pleasant view. The close proximity to the Transfăgărășan road was convenient for exploring the area. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, making the stay comfortable. Overall, it was a decent experience, and I would consider returning in the future to further explore the surroundings even more.

Beside the location and the staggering beauty of the nature you have nothing else to do. My advice is that this destination is best for hiking.

The location was like one dropped from a fairy tale. The host was and still is, I hope, a real character. Fact that makes me to wish to go over there, at least once again, soon.

The fridge and the kitchen area were kind of old and the doors from our room and the room near us didn't have any rubber or sponge to attenuate the noise when the people were closing hard the doors. The host promised that this issue will be fixed very soon.

The location was very picturesque, with a creek flowing very close to it. The host was very kind and helped us to find a very good place to eat. There was a place were you could park the car and you had fridge, kitchen and barbecue area were you could cook.

Breakfast was not available despite shown as an optional service on the booking site. Not sure if only in the time I was there, or in general, but better confirm it with the property before you go if you wish, to avoid surprises on the spot. Parking space can also be a bit narrow if there would be a full occupancy in the property and everyone would come with a car, although a few cars would also fit next to the road so not an issue, but also better to ask them to reserve a place for you in the lot if possible if you go in peak season. Electric plugs are for some reason very high on the walls : )

Very nice place, clean, comfortable, owners speak good English, and there is a nice common area with kitchen and a shared fridge, so you can prepare your food, put stuff into the fridge, etc.. Location is also ideal, and relaxing to have the small river next to it. Lovely atmosphere.

Our bathroom was quite small (we booked a triple room) and the window was facing the smoking area, so there was almost always someone smoking beneath our bathroom window. :) this was a bit uncomfortable and also there was smoke in our bathroom almost always.

The room and living area were nice and clean. We had a parking space and WIFI, plus a shared kitchen and fridge. The owner was very nice and communicative, but offered just the amount of privacy we needed. She even asked other guests to keep it down as we had some loud guests staying at the same time there... We appreciated the owner involvement on making sure that we were also able to enjoy our stay there despite the fact that we were only 2 people.

We stayed one night before we moved forward and we rested very well. The owner is very nice and the place is close to the mountain which makes it perfect for the ones who want to ride Transfăgărășan and enjoy the area. The facility is the well equipped and very clean.
