“Brekie was more than adequate definitely give it the thumbs up.room 20 was clean and comfortable but omg looking at the brown patches on the left hand side towards the window on BBC the ceiling was disgusting as was the wooden roof loft access in need of painting.. bbcwas a typo error”
“The room was spacious, comfortable with nice amenities. There was a fully equipped fitness room with a trainer on site. The pool and spa were really nice. Dinner was also pleasant.”
“On behalf of my parents (i had booked this place for them), they said - It had everything we needed inc good location good parking, provided milk in fridge on our arrival, and the use of teabags etc although I had already bought my own, but lovely to see that provisions like salt pepper sugar etc was there for us to use”
“Arriving on a saturday meant that there are no breakfast arrangements at the hotel. New Brighton seems to be shut early week and bank holidays so breakfasts had to be hunted down. Would be handy if the hotel could provide some info about local breakfasts and days of the week.”
“Very friendly and efficient staff. Simple but very comfy room (lovely bed) with all the facilities necessary. It's a bit quirky because its an Edwardian building (120 years oldish) with lots of the original features - lots of heavy, dark wood about and stained glass in every door. There was also a lovely smell of a coal fire in the lobby (not the bedrooms). Some of the corridor carpets might have been installed on new build! :-)
The local area Port Sunlight - is great for an evening walk and architecturally very interesting.
If you need a super new, anti septic hotel its not for you but if you want somewhere with character book it now.”
“Went for an event in the castle grounds so was a perfect location. Room very nice.
2 niggles:- we were there for 3 nights but had to reaactivate our room cards each day,WHY?
Also had to reconnect to the WIFI when back in room. Again WHY?”
“Been in the hotel several times - staff is always friendly and helpful, beds very comfortable, bar and gym in the same building is a great deal as well :)”
