“There wasn't anything in particular we were looking to see in the town, as we were just passing through, so it is nice that this hotel has everything within it. The slight exception was a washing service, however they do have a linked provider and can help you with that, however it's not a 24 hour service. Anyway, the rooms were nice, it's the tallest building in the town, however there are many other tall buildings, so no views unless your right at the top I presume (we were 2nd to top). The restaurant is nice, with good food and it's a pleasant environment. My 18 month old son decided to throw up on my lap half way through the meal, so the fact that I am saying the restaurant was a pleasant experience, is quite a compliment. The rooms and moderately sized, but they are comfortable with a decent centralised quiet AC system which was nice to have, having travelled down from the north and gone through some more basic areas. The porters were really helpful also to note. We parked right out the front and almost stepped directly into the lobby area, which was super convenient with babies, however I wonder in busy times if this gets congested with cars? There was a slight misunderstanding as we had requested a vegetarian option for breakfast, and they provided us with 4 small carrots and some bits of broccoli. (Possibly slightly exaggerating here, but it was close to that), so we picked a few more things off the menu, and the breakfast ultimately was really nice, however they then billed us, even though it was included, citing that the initial carrots and broccoli were the free breakfast. However, I have put this in the "things I like" section, as I discussed this with the manager, who was quick to get to the cause of the issue and admit error, as they had provided a vegan option instead, with a team member there not understanding the difference. This cost was therefore wavered.”

“The family room was very spacious.Large double bed and 2 single beds for the children.”

  • “We were on a 23 day road trip, and spent 2 days on Boracay, which was the only touristy area of the trip, however broadly speaking the island was well looked after and didn't feel too touristy considering, and Villa Caemilla goes hand in hand with that. It is positioned perfectly on White Beach, just behind a rare break in the coconut trees, meaning absolutely stunning views from the front restaurant and reception areas. The Rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom showers very nice. In particular I appreciated subtle design features such as the bathroom taps having water run down a short glass section before falling onto your hands! The team here have really thought through all steps and looked at each part and thought, how can we do this better. From the refreshing drinks when you arrive, to the good bye cards, cookies and nicely made treasure box like keys you can take away with you at the end. Additionally the team were super helpful. We were having some logistical issues with getting ferries in the days to follow our stay. 3 of the team went all out to find information and look at options around the clock, to what was an alarmingly complex and none centralised ferry system! One team member even went to the main land and helped with booking/payment for us, charging us just for his passenger fee to get there and do so. I mean...talk about going above and beyond! Outside of the hotel front, the trees were beautiful, the white beach was absolutely stunning, and the sea a perfect temperature and perfectly clear. Sailing boats span the horizon, and ride past near by as people swim way out to sea in the shallow waters. Everything I can possibly think off reviewing about this location was just perfect. The only other point, is they did slightly frustrate my wife, with an error on the room check and them not seeing an item so questioning if she had it.”

“The hotel is right on the beach. Rooms are a little bit further back so they are quiet. The pool is nicely shaded with trees and shrubs.”

“Breakfast is okay and the location is close to the shops.”

  • “At the southern tip of Cibu its a lot quieter having travelled down from the north, and down on a small side road away from the main Cibu island coastal road this made the location perfect. The buildings were pretty, with the rooms really nicely made and it's really a beautiful place to stay for a really reasonable price. The beds are super comfotable, with a solid AC system, and a really nice little bathroom at the back. There are a few rooms in the main building that have views looking out over the lawn, swimming pool and out to sea, and then there are some rooms in houses running down the side of the property. We booked out 2, one of each type. The rooms in the main building definitely won with the views. However it's all really close so appart from that, both were good/similar. The swimming pool was just a small rectangular pool at the bottom of the lawn area, however it was perfect for looking out to see, and also it had a surprisingly deep deep end, which was good fun. Finally the really good thing about this venue is that they just let you use swimming/diving equipment freely, bother included in the price and also freely in a trusting sense. At the bottom of the property you can run straight into the sea and swim out over the shallow waters.”
