“The surrounding grounds are like a private park with ponds and streams to the site of the large water mill that gives the property its name. The buildings have a rustic character with ancient exposed beams and interesting windows. The upper level has a modern timber staircase with integral storage and a sturdy handrail. The upper wooden flooring has been modernised to a clean, comfortable standard.”

“The property was a very welcome space to rest & cool off from a hot day cycling with a day’s rest in Tours. Veronique & her husband went over & above expectation and purchased a cycle rack for us to secure 4 bikes in their driveway. Their communication was quick and basic provisions available were welcome for us to prepare a meal as well as tea & coffee.”
“The apartment was spacious, comfortable, stylishly and well appointed with all mod cons and had a nice outside area. Host Karine had thought of everything.

“Everything was excellent. Very well thought out small apartment with everything that we needed for our stay. Great to have the private outside space in a calm corner of Chinon, but close to the centre, restaurants, bakeries etc.”
“Location for Chinon and USSE Chateau and CHINON CHATEAU. The swimming pool as it was a very hot few days while we were there. Friendly English speaking staff was and the apartment was well equipped and spotless. And plenty of free parking. 10 minute walk into Chinon”
