  • The Stables at the Vale Review score: 10

“I thought the bed was going to be too soft for me but had an amazing night's sleep. The breakfast selection was brilliant. Lots of fresh fruit, cereal and whatever cooked selection you could think of.”

  • Abbeyfield Lodge Review score: 9

“Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed. I travel for work and this was in top 3 best value for money hotels I've stayed in anywhere in the UK. It doesn't have a bar but there is a big pub 5 minutes away, along with 4 takeaways and small Sainsbury or Tesco Extra 10 minutes walk. Rooms are clean, everything works, beds are comfortable. Area is very quiet no issues with parking. Will stay again”

  • The Chequers Inn Review score: 10

“Local pub so everyone is very friendly! Clean room and great breakfast.”

  • Locomotion Review score: 5

“No breakfast was provided, it was bedroom only; (for breakfast, for an extra cost, there was a independent restaurant nearby.) The hotel was very convenient for the railway station and there was a convenience shop and and a choice of a few cafes/restaurants close to the hotel. The hotel did provide evening meals (although I met up a friend and we took our meals elsewhere.) Satifactory tea/coffee making facitilities were provided in the room. There was a separate private entrance for the guests. Very little noise was heard from outside the room, even though it was a public house as well as a hotel. The price was reasonable for the accommodation provided.”

  • Endeavour, Staithes Review score: 10
