  • Over the Moon hostel Review score: 5

“It’s right next to the gibbon experience office. There was a power cut in the city which lingered in our room, so we had to change rooms. As compensation, they gave us a free breakfast.”

  • S48 Hotel Review score: 10

“The rooms are very spacious; you get an entire living area apart from the bedroom itself. The bathroom even has a bath (not just a shower). The way leading to the rooms are filled with plants and makes the atmosphere very cosy. The pool is nice; it felt a bit exposed at first but I got used to it. Besides apart from an hour or two in the evening I haven’t used the pool much; there’s so much to do in Chiang Mai! The old town, Aya bus station and shopping malls are all within 10 minutes by vehicle. There’s a convenience store and a hair spa salon right next to the hotel (2’ walk). I enjoyed my stay there very much and would highly recommend it to anyone!”

“Free daily massage was a lovely treat. Restaurant so pretty overlooking a cute garden area with lots of nice menu options. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and just a short drive to the airport.”

  • Medio De Pai Review score: 10

“The place was nice. My room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The balcony is not private, as it is more of an outdoor hallway leading to the rooms. I didn’t have a dedicated space in front of my door like the other rooms but it didn’t bother me as I could still sit on of of the chairs for 5 to 10’. The pool was very nice and I liked that it was opened late enough for a refreshing swim after a long day. I haven’t used the gym but it looked good albeit small. The receptionist was an angel; very kind and helpful. It’s a bit further than the other accommodations but nothing is far in Pai and the village is very small. There’s a laundry place right in front of the hotel and ATMs and a convenience store within 3-4’ walking distance. I’d recommend this stay!”

  • My Chiangmai Boutique Lodge Review score: 10

“Amazing team, staff would do anything for you. I enjoyed it that much I extended my stay for an extra 6 nights. Very comfortable beds. I upgraded to a deluxe double as the room I was in was a little too dark, little natural light. Scooter rental is available as well as tours. Swimming pool is nice and refreshing. Free 2x bottles of water daily. WiFi is great, amazing speeds able to use Teams calls etc. Has a bar and can run a tab. Everywhere is walkable or you can get a grab or bolt. Plenty of recommendations to do things. ****Photos are from the deluxe double****”

  • Pakping Hostel Review score: 10

“Great location, small social yet quiet no party hostel, met lovely people here. Very good value for money, good aircon, clean, clean bathroom and bedding, very pleasant atmosphere and common area to relax, study, read, work..very helpful and kind hosts. There is a small spa just at the corner run by a sweet lady who also does laundry at a very good price, very convenient. Felt very safe here and slept really well in the female dorm. Locker keys and fresh towel are provided at 300 Baht deposit. I’ll be back.”

  • “As soon as you arrive at the resort, you feel the attention to detail and hospitality from all the staff. The grounds are very well looked after, with ponds, gardens, and fountains all around. The room was big and comfortable, and I loved the shower room! The reception staff were super friendly and helped us book a tour, even giving us suggestions of places to visit that we had never heard of and, honestly, were the best part of the tour. The pool was probably our favourite spot, with great views to the river and gardens and fireflies as soon as the sun goes down! We took a cooking class and it was one of the highlights of our stay. Again, the staff couldn't do enough to help us enjoy the session. We would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone going to Chiang Rai.”

  • The Wing Lanna Hotel Review score: 9

“The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The value of the hotel was really high for the price and the location made it a good springboard for seeing the Old Town. I enjoyed it so much that I extended my trip by two days, even!”

  • OYO 899 Villa De Hun Review score: 3

“It was clean, the room was small but nice”

  • Gategaa Village Review score: 10

“Village was in quiet part of the city. Rooms were exceptional, especially the bed mattresses - you sink right in. Swimming Pool at the top was calming and relaxing after a long day out. It has a small shower area as well. Breakfast was outstanding, although the options were limited, it was fulfilling. Staff were very helpful when we had extra friend coming on trip with us. They were willing to put another mattress in our 4 bed stay.”
