“I absolutely loved my stay at Garden View Cottage. The hosts were so welcoming, helping me with my luggage, showing me around the property (how to operate the record player, outside speakers, removing the hot tub cover etc), and stocking the fridge/cupboard with a few essentials (including freshly laid eggs from their chickens!).
They both made me feel super welcome and the best part is the property is dog friendly. The cottage is fully fenced so I could leave my dog there quite safely when I popped out. There's also a covered balcony that would have been suitable if the weather was bad.
The view from the balcony is exceptional. I could sit out there all afternoon and evening with a drink and snacks. The hot tub is very private and has a similarly stunning view. There are lots of little touches that make the place comfortable - books to read, a well-equipped kitchen, a fun colour scheme and beautiful interior decoration, fantastic water pressure in the shower.
The location is fantastic - just a short walk down the drive and then flat into town. Only about 20 mins slow walk from the cottage to the waterfront. Picton is also super dog friendly with plenty of green space and the waterfront for leisurely walks.
