“A lovely country pub with restaurant and rooms. The food was very good with the chef going out of his way to modify a main course to suit my dietary needs. The breakfast ,with a good selection of fresh fruit , was excellent.
Our bedroom was large and airy with a very comfortable bed. The standard of accessories was higher than we have normally found at other b&b's.
In summer the large well kept garden offers a lovely outdoor setting to relax over a drink or two.
In the pub grounds is a lovely little shop selling fresh fruit and veg, meat products, locally sourced sauces and so much more including hand crafted gifts. Well worth a visit.”
“We had a beautiful clean and comfortable room,with your own shower and toilet and plenty of towels.
Their is a kettle in your room,with plenty of tea/coffee/sugar sachets,and plenty of biscuits.
There is a selection of breakfasts to choose from,fried breakfasts,cereals,crumpets,sausage sandwich etc,you can have tea/coffee/fruit juices,and there is always plenty.
The Ivydene is a Family run Guest House,and the owners are friendly and helpful.”

“Fabulous stay in the Old Palace Lodge. Free parking. Located in the old town which was brilliant. Breakfast of yoghurt and croissants in our room each day was great. The room was amazing, it was so nice to stay in accommodation where every effort was made to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We will definitely be returning”
