“The location in Finalborgo was excellent - a 5 minute walk into the old town and about a 1.2 km walk to the sea (or you could catch the bus). The hosts were outstanding. We arrived late and it was no trouble. The host even insisted on giving up her dinner reservation for us at a brilliant restaurant in town. Breakfast was great with home made Italian apple cake and other treats. The rooms were spotless and beautifully set up. Parking is not easy in Finalborgo so being able to leave our cars at the B&B and walk everywhere was great - the driveway was quite tight for larger cars but once there the parking was fine. The host has set this up very well with pleasant outdoor areas to eat breakfast or to sit and have a drink. I normally struggle to know whether to give an establishment a 7 or 8 or sometimes even a 9 but this place is clearly a 10. Finalborgo was an unexpected gem but a word of warning - stay here and not down the road by the sea at the slightly tacky Finalmarina.”
