“Hitel is not a modern hotel, but it will appear to those who like the old fashoined style, to me the hotel looked like it had not been refurbed the last 50 years, but it is still in shape, and different from most hotels. Some will dislike the hotel, while others would love the atmospfere and old style. Breakfast was fine.”

“We booked the hotel to stay on the seaside while visiting Rome. The location is nice, staff are friendly. We could buy some basic snacks, coffee and good prosecco (0,2l bottles) from the reception. There are many nice restaurants nearby and a private beach opposite the road. The suburban railway station is 13 mins walk away and it takes about 30 mins to get to the Piramide stop on Metro line B in Rome, so you can be at the Colosseum in 90 minutes. The original owner of the hotel was national table tennis champion in 1955 or so which lends the name to the hotel, designed around 1965. The hotel was a good base for our activities in Rome but there were some bad sides to our stay.”

“Nice, clean room close to airport with shuttle available. Includes breakfast and for convenance has restaurant and bar in the facilities. It was perfect for us as we were travelling from Crete home with a stop in Rome for the night.”
