“The view from this property was exceptional which made the trip very worth while. The garden area is beautiful. Even though zip lining is behind, it is very quiet. The area is incredibly quiet and peaceful at night. Sergio was excellent and incredibly helpful.”
“This property is tacked away in a quiet corner which over looking the lake. But, it’s not far from the shops and restaurants, even by walking.
Our room was well represented: clean and sparkling bath room, nice size and comfortable bed, big storage shelf…
Kitchen is fully equipped. Beautiful view of the lake and mountain from the dining area.
Andrea and his wife are very friendly and kind. They let us use their paddle board for a small fee. So we had a wonderful afternoon down in the lake.
We could easily spend a week there !

“Essence Arenal was a great place to stay and a perfect location to explore the nature of Arenal. We were greeted by staff who were ready to help at any moment. The spa was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the volcano and nearby rainforests. We ate breakfast and dinner at the in house restaurant every day as the farm to fork food was exceptional. Gabriel, the chef, made sure we were catered for every evening for dinner and the food was more than delicious, with great care taken over the flavours and composition.
We also went on the guided night tour which was a great experience, seeing frogs, spiders, snakes and birds that we hasn't seen on any other tours.
There's an incredible view of the volcano and lake from the top of the land at the viewing point, which is a perfect area to experience sunrise or sunset.”
“Definitely the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. It was so great waking up in the tents with a fantastiv view on the vulkano. The tents were very comfortable and awesome. In the morning we even saw some tucans. The best part of our stay were Wendy and Roger. The wete so welcoming, heartwarming, helpful, and fun and it was always nice to have a little chat with them”

“Very interesting farm tour. Delicious food made mainly from products from the farm. It's sustainable but still provides a good level of comfort for the guests. The pools are very clean. Overall, it's an absolutely amazing experience that is well worth the cost for anyone interested in sustainability, farming or self-sufficiency.”
