“Really nice hotel with coffee/tea making, aircon and bar fridge stocked with cold water. The double bed was very comfortable, clean and overall the hotel room with two rooms, living area was modern and functional. The pool was lovely and the location was very pretty overlooking Diakhofti beach. We were able to park our hire car directly opposite under the trees without any issues. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional and helped with our heavy luggage so I'm very grateful for their assistance.”

“The location is very quiet. It is strategically nearthe town of Kythira and Kapsali, but also not far away from Firi Ammos and Kaladi beaches and the center of the island. The apartment is equipped with a refrigerator, cooktop and basic kitchen utensils. The relaxing aura of the studio and the surrounding area made us feel at home and enjoy our stay.”
“Nice set up, surrounded by vegetation. The location is close to the road but it didn't constitute a problem, as there wasn't much traffic in October. It is higher up the hill, perfect view of the golf and still at short walk to beach and tavernas. The walk is via a rather steep slope, so not for everyone! Room spacious, clean and nicely decorated, the sink/kitchen area seemed new and tastefully done. The terrace is big and has a nice view, overlooking the gulf, perfect to eat out. There is a little desk in the room, which came in handy for the laptop.”

The place is tastefully decorated with a special touch for details. The host and family are more than helpful and can't do enough for you. “Villa Venus is a ground floor apartment adjacent to a lovely established garden and olive orchard with great views down to the beach. The apartment which isn't huge was just perfect to two people, offering a comfortable indoor seating area with modern kitchen and well appointed bathroom. The bedroom was large, with large louvered windows opening to a covered deck where we spent most of our time. Andreas our host was very accomodating, he joined us on our first night and left us well versed with things to do, see and eat in Kythira. Villa Venus is a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive down to Paleopoli beach which is a long white fine pebble beach. 5 minutes along the coast is Avlemonas Village with great food and drink options and many small swimming platforms allowing access to the harbours clear water. Kythira was the highlight of our Greece trip. The many villages, the great walking trails, the size of the island, nothing was more than 20 minutes away from Villa Venus remain in our memory. Not forgetting Kaladi Beach our vote for best beach in Greece. Cheers Andreas all the best and thank you for letting us stay, we hope Kythira remains a hidden gem.”
