The room we booked was enormous, modern and had everything we could have wished for. The view from our balcony overlooking the river was splendid and peaceful. The pool at the spa was lovely and I timed it perfectly to have it all to myself on my visits. The hotel is located in a perfect spot for exploring. Breakfast was full of choices and very plentiful. The major letdown for us was the restaurant for the evening meals, which was just food served in the bar area and the veggie burger was a real letdown. We would have thought that a hotel of this standard would have offered a bit of fine dining in the evening and is a real missed opportunity. Such a shame we couldn’t enjoy dinner at the hotel and had to book elsewhere.”
