“This place is hosted by a lovely couple who know the region by heart and give great tips on what to visit. They organise tours to visit the valley and offer a great breakfast. The rooms are super clean and have all the comfort you need. It was a great experience staying here.”

“We loved this place. The staff were really helpful with helping us do a trip into the desert. The hotel has a lovely garden with outside dining. They were happy to make us dinner after we arrived quite late from Neiva. Good breakfast.The pool is a welcome treat after the desert tour. The room was clean and cleaned every day. Villavieja itself is a sweet little desert town, ideal for a laidback, relaxing couple of days.”
“You stay here for the location and it doesn't disappoint.
The room was very basic but we knew it would be. The outside is covered in white plastic bottles, to keep some of the heat out.
The bathroom is rustic but well equipped. The cleanliness is very good. Like most places, there are no hooks for towels or clothes.
Parking is secure as it is within the premises that has a large gate at the entrance. It was safe but we still had to deploy the overs, as the parrots were rather too interested in the bikes and we feared they would cause damage.
The birds and other wildlife were abundant, noisy and happy to be close by - nice to enjoy breakfast and marvel at some of the birds.
The 1/2 mile walk to the couple of restaurants and bars was a very nice and pleasant walk.
We stayed for a few days and really enjoyed it.”
