  • Milford Sound Lodge Review score: 10

“The location is world-class - unique, isolated and surrounded by the natural beauty of the area, everywhere you look. We stayed in a 2 bedroom chalet - perfect for our family. We found the chalet blended into the natural beauty, whilst also being of a very high standard itself. We loved sitting on the deck, just taking in the surrounds, and the frequent Kea visits. We ate in the lodge each night - we were very impressed with the standard of the restaurant. The staff were friendly, helpful and happy to have a chat - overall a pleasure to deal with. It was great to just drive a few minutes in the morning to where the Sound cruises depart from - one of bonuses of staying 'inside' the national park.”

  • Eglinton Valley Camp Review score: 10

“Amazing! We stayed here 2 different times & had room 1 & 4. Both were very comfortable and beautiful. Had all the amenities for comfort & cooking. Heating, hot water, soaps, etc. Staff is very friendly. Location is perfect. 1 hour to Milford Sound (times may vary for the tunnel crossing. We only had to wait 5 mins). Gorgeous Mountain View’s from the lodge. 20 min walk to waterfall & about 2K from Mirror Lake. But the room exceeded our expectations. Charming. Cozy bed. Plus your own parking spot in front of your room. There is on site laundry. Love this place.”
