“After reading the previous reviews I was slightly concerned about what we would arrive to. But was very pleasantly surprised. Our purpose was of the trip was to visit Sarah Raven’s garden and Great Dixter. I stayed in the double room and my friend the twin with two single beds. The room was very nicely furnished with a stylish wooden floor and stunning view over the valley. The bed was comfy ( although was happy that I had brought my own pillow) Bathroom was sparkling clean with a seriously large, hot shower. Nothing more I could have asked for and my friend agreed. Spent the evening staring out over the valley. Very peaceful and relaxing. We did however have dinner over the road at The Rose and Crown which was fabulous as the main bar area of The Bear Inn didn’t have much atmosphere. Breakfast was had at The Old Orchard Nursery which we highly recommend. (Where breakfasts are named after famous gardeners very suitable for our trip!) Would definitely come and stay again”
“The breakfast was within the self contained suite and was adequate and served it's purpose. The location was excellent for me as it is on the route of the Wealdway walk which I was doing. It is quiet and I had the best nights sleep of the seven nights I was doing the walk. The comfort of the bed is out of this world. There is a pub within 200 yards which serves food until 8.30pm.”
“Breakfast was amazing. The location was great. Jeremy and Tomas were incredible hosts who gave lots of great advice on what to do in Rye.”
