“The staff, as first point of contact, were really welcoming, helpful and friendly. We upgraded to an ocean view room, at Ghislaine’s suggestion, with a big balcony and it was superb. So glad we did. Breakfast was delicious. Location excellent as walking distance into main town and pick-up point for trips.”
“This villa is in a great location and was a great value for money. It is very spacious, with a great backyard that also includes a beautiful garden and a separate one bedroom, on-suite bathroom and living and kitchen space. Google has additional pictures of the interior as well as exterior and aerial views of this property.
We had a great time enjoying the pool as well as the shaded portion of the outside living space. We could also sneak a peek of the ocean view around the palms by the pool. The pool does not have a shallow end but does have a ledge to sit on at the entrance side. Adults can comfortably stand up but kids that do not swim would need a floatation support.
The supermarket was a short walk away (around 10 minutes). We did have a car but also took a morning stroll through the neighborhood. The restaurants and the beach are a few minutes walk from the supermarket. We could also park our car for free at the Jan Thiel beach parking lot in the evening when going for dinner.

“If you prefer an all inclusive resort type experience, this is NOT for you. If you like to be away from the hustle and bustle of Eagle Beach or Palm Beach type locations, this is for you. This family-run hotel sits at the quiet part of the island (in Seveneta; near Zeerover - the famous restaurant and Flying Fish, almost as famous and way more expensive) and close to our favorite beach - Baby Beach, and one of the entrances to the Arikok National Park (Baby Beach entrance - you get the caves first).
This is a family run business and we were treated like a family by each and every staff member who were all family members and run the hotel. Very personalized service. Everyone was super nice. Reno and Chef Elise were the two people - Reno is Chef's nephew - we were in touch daily; Reno is great! Don't forget to have him take around in a little boat and to the Glass Island which is across the property! Chef made bf everyday and we (and other guests) ate facing the beautiful ocean and sea breeze. My wife and I had a special dinner one of the nights - just for us - and chef made it very special, including his surprises - very memorable. There's a local tree almost touching the water towards the villa side - my wife and I would lie down there after dinner and enjoy our drinks in the cool breeze of the night - very nice!
We borrowed cooler (for Balachi, Chill, and Bright!), beach chairs, and snorkeling googles from Reno - no charge - thanks, Reno! Kayak's were there for use for free too (we didn't).
We plan to go back to Aruba - nice place - and stay in Serene by the Sea again - this time in the big family unit!”
