“Online communication with the host was superb. He gave me all instructions how to get from the port to the apartment. I got upgraded to the bigger room with the balcony . Bed was really good to rest and sleep, toilet was clean, small table to eat breakfast and enough kitchen utilities. Wifi works well. Location is at the end of Korissia at the main road to Ioulis. Host showed up the last day so I had an opportunity to chat with him. He is so kind with smile on his face all the time.”

Had a fabulous three days at Earthy. Wish we’d stayed longer. Tucked away in the sloping narrow streets of Isternia, the lovely host met us to show us the way. It’s five mins (or less) to parking (via steps) and the handful of tavernas, cafes and bars of Isternia. The village oozes charm.
The house is bigger than we thought. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one like a large grotto with ferns and exposed rock), a lounging area and separate kitchen-diner. Much bigger than it looks in photos.
Earthy is stylish and beautifully crafted - from iron work doors, arched windows, stained glass, stylish furniture, interesting fixtures and fittings through to the beautiful terrace. But it is also impeccably thought through practically - every utensil, pot, pan you’d need for holiday cooking (including a couple of wonderfully sharp knives which is almost unheard of in rental accom!), cafetière and water filter…the list goes on. And really lovely soaps and toiletries.
And the generosity with what was provided was beyond fantastic - fresh fruit, local herbal teas, coffee, bottled water, delicious homemade marmalade and a terrific chutney…to name a few provisions.
So…the terrace. A beautiful spot to relax in sun or shade under the canopy surrounded by plants….and simply stare out to sea and the distant islands. Couldn’t think of a better spot for breakfast or a sundowner.”
