“We booked our room spontaneously since we were on a private “Tour de France” and decided from day to day where to go. Marie-Hélène and Laurent were fantastic hosts - they made us feeling welcome and at home. They provided us with tons of information about activities in the larger area.
Our apartment was huge- two bedrooms and a bathroom with build in cabinets, even too huge for two people.
The breakfast was typical French (which ist quite sweet), but our hosts made us everyday scrambled eggs and we got home made yoghurt, and a surprise like a piece of cake or pancakes.
The house is from the 17th century as far as I remember, it was an old mill and it is renovated with a lot of love and a good eye for details. A little library with books and games for kids was located in the middle floor. Since we don’t speak French we had no problems with communication in English.
We didn’t use the pool but it was clean and other guests enjoyed it. If we are going again to the Loire region, we will for sure return. I got a piece of France which was like in my romantic imagination. Good job and good luck to the hosts. Thank you, vielen Dank and merci!”
“La Perluette is quirky and full of history as it is several hundred years old. Our room was a good size and clean with a very comfortable bed. The location is excellent being only 10 minutes walk into the old town which is a very interesting place to explore with lots of good bars and restaurants to choose from. The hosts of the property were fantastic and they made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was very good and all the guests sit on one table which allows for conversation between guests and we loved this!”
“The hosts were kind and friendly, but only had some English. There were very cute and friendly dogs. There was a pleasant small garden and swimming pool, but the weather was not warm enough to try it. The property was very old and quirky, an ex-farm, surrounded by fields.”
“We stayed in tent #2. The tent was spacious, clean, and pretty. The beds were comfortable. Extra bedding was provided and the tent stayed completely dry in the rain. The showers were warm, clean, and spacious. Make sure to bring your own toiletries and towels. There is a microwave and coffee machine in the shared kitchen area. The tents and little houses are well-spaced from each other. The tent #1 is closer to the fields/horses. My kids and I loved this place and we highly recommend it.”
“Fabulous chateau , wonderful host, great breakfast, huge rooms with wonderful views, access to beautiful lounges, complimentary glass of wine on arrival, one of our very best stays in 50 years of travelling in France.”
“La Maison provides very comfortable accommodation in a quiet village. Breakfast is generous and delicious, served with quality crockery and provisions…as are room provisions!
Fabrice, could not be more helpful and manages to be both front of house and cook, too, ably assisted by Thierry handling back of house. It’s a good team that makes you feel welcomed.”
