This is a review of two halves.
Our initial booking was for the ground floor, two storey apartment which was awful - damp, not clean and poor quality. I cannot recommend this apartment and it needs to be totally revamped.
However, we raised our concerns with Valentina who contacted Mario. Valentina and Mario worked with us to address our concerns. We were lucky that the property was not fully booked and so we were able to move to the “villa” at the end of the garden which was a modern, clean self contained unit and we had a pleasant stay there. This accommodation was well equipped, comfortable beds and quiet.”
“When I was choosing a room I was horrified by the prices on the first line, and chose these apartments on Pontone, half an hour walk from Amalfi.
It was difficult to get to the apartment the first time, but only because of the stupid public transportation system. With all due respect to the drivers, and with disrespect to the driver's managers, why they can't put up a sign that says "tickets" is beyond my comprehension. However, it turned out to be not a big problem, because these apartments are one meter from the store, two meters from the bar, three meters from the restaurant and seven meters from the best view that can be found in Amalfi.
It takes less than half an hour to get down to the beach and you will forget about any fatigue and steps because of the magnificent view.
The apartment itself is a converted church, high ceilings and luxury renovations inside. Very friendly staff nearby in the bar and store. If I ever return to Amalfi it will be to this apartment.”
“We had a great time at Mansarda Valú. A B&B in the middle of the lively Spanish district of Naples, full of narrow and picturesque, cozy and uphill streets. The view from the apartments and the roof terrace of Mansarda Valú is beautiful and spacious, because the building is located on a beautiful square on the slopes of Montecalvario. The sight of the steep part of the slope to the higher part of Naples is enchanting. The apartments are extremely tastefully and comfortably furnished.”
