    “The Manoir is located a few hundred yards north of the village of Plouër-sur-Rance in a small hamlet of a few properties. The area is very quiet due to its location, but only a couple of minutes' drive from the village and the main road (D176). This property oozes character. It's a centuries-old manor house that has been sympathetically restored by its owners over many decades and retains much of its original features, but modernised for the 21st century. Our room, on the 2nd floor, was huge and had great views over the river Rance and surrounding countryside. The ensuite bathroom was well appointed and the shower had plenty of pressure. Outside, to the rear of the main building, you will find an outdoor kitchen/BBQ area and further back is a walled-in swimming pool. The grounds, by the way, are enormous. There's a small beach a few minutes' walk down the hill from the property which is used for fishing and swimming. It really is a beautiful area.”

    “The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Our basic command of the French language did not prove to be a major issue and we really enjoyed our stay. The option of having some really nice, home cooked evening meals available was a bonus, as was the option of purchasing reasonably priced drinks on site. There are some animals on site (chickens, geese and a lovely cat) which are well managed, surprisingly quiet in the mornings and added to the charm and charisma of the property. Loved it, thank you.”
