“Convenient location just by the bus stop and near the beach. Short walk into beautiful Sandvig. Comfortable beds, clean. There were 3 of us staying in a 6bedded bunk room so plenty of space. We arrived at a weekend when there was no one else staying and no staff around, but instructions on our room and how to find it were made very clear. Kitchen was clean, and everything you need to prepare and cook a meal was available. Staff allowed us to leave our luggage in the kitchen for the day after we’d checked out. Great hostel.”
“Another excellent stay at Melsted. Wanted to book 4 nights but stayed only two as hotel was booked for an event. Had dinner two nights at the restaurant. Excellent experience both nights and I strongly recommend to make reservations - it was packed. Breakfast great with good options, cappucino available at extra cost. Will be back next yr.”

Buffet breakfast available at extra cost although we didn’t make use of that, but free tea and coffee all day, and use of guest fridge and microwave, cups and plates/cutlery in the large dining room area.

Entrance from street, into the hotel, and into rooms all by codes, but that was quite easy, even for us oldies. Remember to enter the code into the screen on the door handle for the hotel and individual rooms, not into the box on the wall by the doors.”
