“Lakeside lodge is quaint pretty and comfy so close to bassenthwaite lake, very good value for money, the full English breakfast was very nice, the outdoor area was lovely and so cute in the evening with the outdoor lighting, the location was perfect so close to keswick and cockermouth also not far from lots of the other lakes. The hosts were very helpful and went out of their way to help with finding where we could launch a boat as the slipway at bassenthwaite lake couldn't accommodate the size boat ,Tim our host contacted the yacht club 5 mins from where we stayed and managed to sort us using the slipway there, so the fishing wkend was saved, thank you Tim and the yacht club”
“We loved everything about this lodge. The owners were lovely, the lodge was perfect for a week away. It was clean, warm and everything we needed was available. The shower was incredible! And very comfortable bed too! Really nice welcome hamper when we arrived with local produce in and option to have breakfast if wanted. Tim and Karen gave us some great suggestions of walks and places to go in the local area. It is the perfect place for a peaceful break or holiday with beautiful scenery and nice long walks by the lake or on the fells. Lovely secure garden for the dog to enjoy and not have to be tied up like in most places we have been. We have already looked to book again for next year!”
