“The house is located beautifully overlooking the rice fields. The kitchen is well equiped and all facilities to have a comfortable stay are present. The host Jules and Rita were available to accommodate us during our stay. All in all a good experience!”
“Grandfather Zé's is a traditional house in a small village. It is rustic in style, possibly even a little basic but there is decent space both inside and out and it offers a characterful place to stay. The three bedrooms could sleep up to six people although that might be a bit of a push for the other facilities. We were only three and so it worked well for us. Considering the price that we paid, it would be churlish to suggest that it offers anything other than very good value. There is a private paved garden at the rear of the property with a couple of hammocks slung under a tree. Albernoa has a restaurant serving traditional Alentejano food and a couple of bars. There are several very good wineries nearby.”
“This was a very nice place to stay. Clean and quiet, well stocked kitchen, two bathrooms! Best things are the private terrace off the bedroom, lovely cool air conditioning on a very hot day, and great location to all the sites and shopping.
Our host was fantastic, even though I never met her in person her communication was very quick and excellent and we are so grateful for the extra help she offered to receive a package that was being mailed to us from Porto.

“It is an old building and yes it is dated but everything works perfectly, Air conditioning, washing machine, etc. what we loved was the space, it is so close to the centre of Elvas and yet totally quiet. Great place to stay totally recommend”
