It is located on a busy road but we didn’t find that to be a big problem.

What a lovely place! Even if you are not into Bonsai the collection was amazing with some specimen more than 100 years old. The owner recommended a fantastic restaurant a few minute walk away that served amazing food at unbelievably reasonable prices.

Beds were very firm. Kitchen needed basic staples like salt, pepper, oil.

Tranquil gardens. Our unit had a pretty view and a patio on the koi pond. Street parking available. Located right next to the bus stop.

There is a bad mold problem that is very pungent in the room. It affected our ability to sleep.

I personally didn’t like the mattress, and there seemed to be an electrical issue in our suite. The light in the bathroom, and one of the pot lights in the kitchen area strobed.

This place, with its ancient bonsai plants, koi fish and turtles was so relaxing after the crowded Sintra centre and sights. The staff were very welcoming, and gave a great recommendation on where to dine nearby.

Very nice tranquil place, a good location, fantastic hosts, nice museum with bonsai lovers shop (we spend the additional room price :D). We are very thankful for hosts waiting for us, as we arrived late in the evening. Our room has heating and it was very useful for us because we stayed in spring and the weather is not so warm. Also parking for us was very useful.

Our hosts were very welcoming and our studio accommodation was good. The studio had a nice outdoor seating area. Sintra centre was within easy walking distance. We thought it was good value and would like to go back.

I have a bad back and the bed was too hard to be very comfortable for me.

The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful and the bonsais are beautiful. Love the sound of water and the smell of nature. Everything was clean and very cute. The parking was a great bonus since we had a rental car and parking in Sintra was a nightmare.

Internet kept failing at night, wifi and tv signal very poor. We could use darker curtains to keep the light out in the morning, since it was quite bright inside the room as the sun came up. Shower mirror was broken. Still would definitely go back!

We stayed at "Quarto do Japão" that was beautifully decorated with Japanese style. Very comfortable and cozy with ac. Room equipped with complimentary coffee and water. A beautiful private balcony with a view to the entrance where the lakes with the fishes were. Staff super friendly.

the bedding is set back with hard mattresses and a couple's bed that lacks width. It was cold inside the room. Thé heating système was note turn on.

the public transportation to and from the place is nor good. must use bolt.

We had 2 rooms. At one of the rooms, we had a strong sewage smell in the bathroom. The second room was a little bit dark.

The bathroom was kind of tight on space. Actually have to sit down cock eyed on toilet due to the vanity/sink being placed three inches away from toilet. Shower was nice and hot(maybe too much so) as it was difficult to regulate temperature. If it were my property I would place the sink directly into the wall and skip the cabinent under it for more leg room.

The Bonsai grounds were very nice and a different experience then boring hotel apartments. Very elegant interior, marble spiral staircase, full functioning kitchen.

Had problem with the door.

The place very relaxing and super clean. Apartment with all you need. Staff very helpful and suggested the best restaurants, cafes for breakfast and also provided a map of how to get around. We walked to the centre. Just a 10-15min walk to the centre of Sintra. Loved the place and location. Highly recommend. Thank you. 😊

Road noise. No nearby breakfast option. Very noisy neighbours above us who seemed to have no respect for the zen aspect of the property.
