We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

It’s very close to the airport, so it works for a 1 night stay. Also, there is a beach and a few restaurants nearby. The hotel facilities themselves are pretty basic, but it serves the purpose.

United KingdomThe location was closer to the airport than I had imagined which meant there quite a few planes coming in and out. There is also no pools of water nearby, except for an imported sand beach with wave breakers in walking distance... not really comparable to the back sand volcanic beaches you can find in the north west side of the island.
Staff were friendly and accommodating to our needs e.g., providing us with a kettle on request. The breakfast was really good too. Also there's a lovely man named Carlos across from the hotel who deals in car rentals, and provides parking as well as great deals. Lastly, there's lots of local amenities and some superb restruants just a stones throw away.

Everything was just perfect, the room was cosy, the lady at the front desk was fantastic. The location is a great spot if you want the beach, restaurants and a quiet town. Breakfast was great and hits the spot. We only had dinner once, but it was delicious.

Terrific location a block from the beach, and the town of Machico itself was a very pleasant surprise: scenic, lots of great eateries, pristine clean, and a wonderful beach.

United StatesThe hotel is in need of a serious renovation rooms-wise. I understand that many of the hotels by the beach do not have air conditioning, however a fan is a must? At the very least a ceiling fan in each room is needed. The furniture and bathroom features are outdated as well.
The location of the hotel is exceptional! A block away from the beach, what else could one want? The last that checked us in was super friendly, nice and helpful with all our needs and questions.

Absolutely stunning location. Like a scene from mamma Mia. A nice little Local bar 50 yards away with Sports channels. Nothing loud or crazy just a quiet enjoyable happy place. The hotel is within 200 yards of the beach and all other bars and restaurants. The hotel room it’s self was immaculate and very modern. 10/10 for the room and the staff and the breakfast that comes included was also everything you need to start your day off
