This B&B is in the heart of Lagos. I had the room in the back of the hotel, which was quite spacious and had a street view. Also coffee and tea in the room (which is quite standard in Portugal). The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was nice, plenty of options available and seating both inside and outside overlooking the pool. This B&B has a nice vibe to it, and it is well maintained.

No elevator and many stairs to get to our room—should be considered if traveling with heavy suitcases. Parking lot is free but an 8-minute walk. It’s tricky to navigate a car close to the hotel in order to drop off luggage.

The room was beautifully decorated and spacious. Breakfast offered many choices and the breakfast area was elegant.

Not a negative, but one thing to note is that most rooms are up 2 flights of stairs and there is no elevator. However, the owner helps carry up your bags!

We were disturbed by the front door slamming shut each time someone entered or left the building. Perhaps a carpenter could fix the door noise problem.

Great location for the shops,restaurants etc. Lovely, renovated building with character. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a large walk-in shower. Walkable distance to the bus and train stations. Good choice of items at buffet breakfast.

It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. There is a coffee machine in the room but no milk so a fridge would have been ideal. Also the bar wasn't open during our stay so again a small fridge in which we could have stored some drinks for a sun downer would have been nice but I am nit picking.

Villa Zawaia is located in a beautiful building right in the heart of Lagos Old Town. The internal court yard which contains a decent sized plunge pool is an oasis of tranquillity. Our room was spacious and well appointed with an extremely comfortable bed. Our bathroom was a little bit dated and I'm not keen on having to climb into a bath to have a shower but in essence the bathroom was extremely clean and fit for purpose. The Breakfast was extremely nice and taken on a terrace overlooking the pool which is a lovely way to start the day. All the staff are pleasant and very helpful and keen to ensure that your stay is made as enjoyable as possible. Although in the heart of the Old Town there was no noise from the surrounding area at night ensuring a good nights sleep. If we visit Lagos again Villa Zawaia would be our destination accommodation.

We did have a car and finding the off site parking was not too bad but dropping off and picking up with luggage on the corner was stressful and time consuming . So be warned . It is in the heart of the old town which is wonderful but it’s no place for a car.

We specifically like the fresh air that’s coming from the Atlantic Ocean when we opened the windows of our room. Didn’t need air conditioning.

There is nothing that I did not like about this propety. A great value for money in a very convenient location.

A beautiful property in an amazing central location close to the city centre, marina, waterfront and walking distance to beautiful beaches. I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Zawaia. The staff here were extremely pleasant and helpful and went above and beyond to meet and exceed my expectations. The attention to detail here is exceptional, the rooms and common areas are very tastefully decorated to create some very nice ambience. I really enjoyed the nicely presented breakfast every morning. The room I stayed in was a very good size and nicely decorated with a beautiful bathroom with heated floors. Exceptional value for money. I will definitely be recommending Villa Zawaia to family and friends and look forward to staying here again.
