Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe person before us had not reported that the Air con in the down-stairs bedroom wasn't working - so subsequently we didn't get the benefit of using that - but I understand that a call has been placed and it will be mended.
The house was super-clean, the pool divine and the space wonderful. It was hot whilst we were there (32-34 degrees C) but keeping the big doors open meant the house stayed cool. The outdoor BBQ area was really wonderful. The sun seemed to hit the patio around 8am and really stayed there until 5pm (late June) - which was just perfect. There was parking nearby.

United KingdomThe villa was superb, very clean and the view was incredible. The pool and BBQ were also fantastic. The AC is only in the lower bedroom however it wasn't too much of an issue as there is a decent breeze in the villa with the windows open.

United KingdomThis is not a dislike of ours but be prepared for steep hills if you are walking. For our family with 2 children over 6 and a grandmother with us it was OK, nice walk into the town of Ribera Brava, around 1.5 miles away and a taxi back home. For younger families with buggies it could be more difficult but for us perfect. A hire car is recommended.
Everything. Great sized pool / BBQ area with really clean 8m pool. House was not too hot in the temperature. Well equipped and was a great size for three adults and 2 children. Perfects views and quite.

United KingdomShower was hit and miss with the hot water regulation. The pool and terrace area loses the sun by 6pm due to the location.
The view from Villa Tabua is spectacular! The property was clean and had everything that we needed. The infinity pool and terrace area was amazing. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. We had the pleasure of looking after Fernando (Ginger and white cat) for our entire stay and fell in love with him.

Ireland- Not a great location if you are not able to drive or get a taxi. Yellow taxis on the island scam for money, I recommend getting the app Bolt, for reference the yellow taxi from the airport was €65 with the equivalent Bolt price of €32. Overall wasn't a big issue for us as we made friends with a Bolt drivers who was happy to pick us up any time there weren't any other drivers available as well as in remote places (as we went hiking a number of times). Even cheaper would be to rent a car yourself.
- The views from the villa were amazing. - Villa itself was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. - There was also a bbq which we made use of a lot, bought groceries from the nearby shops and made food in the villa. - Nearby (5min drive) shops/restaurants with everything we needed. - I recommend doing the PR1 hike (although I think we got a bit lucky with the weather), it is approx 30-40min drive from the property. If you are driving keep in mind this will take you all day as it is a one way hike (so you'll likely take 3hrs there and 3hrs back). We got a taxi to the start and another taxi back from the finishing point (the drive back is slightly longer at approx 1hr)
