    Nothing!

The spectacular view, location and pool were perfect! The owner of the house was really caring and greeted us with some traditional food from Madeira!

Beautiful stone house with fabulous views

    • Stayed 8 nights

The person before us had not reported that the Air con in the down-stairs bedroom wasn't working - so subsequently we didn't get the benefit of using that - but I understand that a call has been placed and it will be mended.

The house was super-clean, the pool divine and the space wonderful. It was hot whilst we were there (32-34 degrees C) but keeping the big doors open meant the house stayed cool. The outdoor BBQ area was really wonderful. The sun seemed to hit the patio around 8am and really stayed there until 5pm (late June) - which was just perfect. There was parking nearby.

Villa Tabua is a beautiful villa with decor that I taste. That whole house is good equipped, was no anything missed. The mattress and the pillows so good we slept well. The pool nice and really clean, the sits around the pool is plenty and the wiew is amazing. We met with Luis the owner whoes a very kind gentleman. We got a local honey cake and Madeira wine like as welcome gift. Thank you Luis and Manuela

The villa was superb, very clean and the view was incredible. The pool and BBQ were also fantastic. The AC is only in the lower bedroom however it wasn't too much of an issue as there is a decent breeze in the villa with the windows open.

Nothing really bad. It would be useful to know that you def need a car (or hire a taxi each time) to get to shops or restaurants (Ribeira Brava or Ponta do Sol) - it is possible by foot, but easily a 1hour walk (one-way).

Very beautiful and cozy house, absolutely clean and tidy. Contains everything you need, e.g. snorkeling gear, fully equipped kitchen, Outdoor BBQ etc. Living room is very cozy in case of bad weather and has a fireplace. Very nice sun terrace with sunbeds and a beautiful pool in a garden. The view over Ribeira Brava, mountains and the ocean is absolutely incredible! Last but not least: the owners were extremely nice and helpful, totally recommend this place!

Spectacular views from the terraces and pool. Manuel and Luis were friendly and helpful, just a phone call away if you have any problems and a mid stay clean. you definitely need a car for this villa and generally to get the best from your stay in Madeira.

This is not a dislike of ours but be prepared for steep hills if you are walking. For our family with 2 children over 6 and a grandmother with us it was OK, nice walk into the town of Ribera Brava, around 1.5 miles away and a taxi back home. For younger families with buggies it could be more difficult but for us perfect. A hire car is recommended.

Everything. Great sized pool / BBQ area with really clean 8m pool. House was not too hot in the temperature. Well equipped and was a great size for three adults and 2 children. Perfects views and quite.

Shower was hit and miss with the hot water regulation. The pool and terrace area loses the sun by 6pm due to the location.

The view from Villa Tabua is spectacular! The property was clean and had everything that we needed. The infinity pool and terrace area was amazing. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. We had the pleasure of looking after Fernando (Ginger and white cat) for our entire stay and fell in love with him.

we would advise a rental car for this property, be warned the hills are very steep but very doable, don’t let this put you off staying at this amazing villa

Great location and close to every spot around the island Lots of space in the villa and very welcoming feel The outdoor space was lovely and with some great views

    - Not a great location if you are not able to drive or get a taxi. Yellow taxis on the island scam for money, I recommend getting the app Bolt, for reference the yellow taxi from the airport was €65 with the equivalent Bolt price of €32. Overall wasn't a big issue for us as we made friends with a Bolt drivers who was happy to pick us up any time there weren't any other drivers available as well as in remote places (as we went hiking a number of times). Even cheaper would be to rent a car yourself.

    - The views from the villa were amazing. - Villa itself was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. - There was also a bbq which we made use of a lot, bought groceries from the nearby shops and made food in the villa. - Nearby (5min drive) shops/restaurants with everything we needed. - I recommend doing the PR1 hike (although I think we got a bit lucky with the weather), it is approx 30-40min drive from the property. If you are driving keep in mind this will take you all day as it is a one way hike (so you'll likely take 3hrs there and 3hrs back). We got a taxi to the start and another taxi back from the finishing point (the drive back is slightly longer at approx 1hr)

Problems with cleanliness. Dirty kitchen utensils and appliances. Dirty bathroom floor. Even the washing machine was dirty. Public parking can be a issue on weekdays.

Nice view. Well equipped house. Hosts provided food, cake and wine upon arrival.
