Door lock was sticky and had to go downstairs for private bathroom. But otherwise everything was a high standard and comfortable

Great guesthouse with a spectacular view and a 15 minute walk to the beach and town. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this place.

Villa Alegria and the host Bruno will give you all the comfort you need for a great stay. The check-in was easy and Bruno is very attentive to his guests to make them feel comfortable. Our room was cosy and with all comfort you need to feel at home. We did appreciate fresh fruits at breakfast, the calm during the night and Ericeira is one of the most beautiful towns on the west coast of Portugal. We can also recomend the local beach of the town which is not to crowdy and with good bath conditions. We are looking forward to come back. Thanks to Bruno for the great stay.

I was in a room upstairs but was asked to use the downstairs bathroom even though there was one opposite. Wasn't a big issue at all but would have been a little easier to have access to that one.

Bruno was so welcoming. I instantly felt comfortable and at home. It's a short walk to the nearest beach and 20 minute walk to Ericeria. Location was perfect. Bruno goes above and beyond for the breakfast, I met some lovely people staying there and the pool is lovely to relax by. I worked remotely for a couple of days and internet was fast. And there's a friendly resident dog :) I'll be back for sure. Thanks Bruno :)

Very clean, comfortable house. Feel like at home. Owner Bruno try his best to help you, he provides as much service as he can. I will definitively come back if I visit Ericiera again.

Bruno was a brilliant host, the location was perfect, only a few minutes walk from the town centre and the beach was even closer. I was lucky to get a sea view and really appreciated the private pool. The breakfast was also excellent. Highly recommend for any kind of traveller.

My only complaint was that the pillows weren't great, which made for a somewhat uncomfortable sleep each night. But the bed itself was great and comfortable.

The place was kept very clean, and the breakfast every morning was lovely. Great location, walking distance to the beaches in town. Decor was beautiful!

Great location, as long as you don't mind a short walk uphill, close to the ocean. Warm welcome from the host and an absolutely fantastic breakfast - delicious coffee, baked goods and lots of selection even for a vegetarian. The room was spacious, comfortable and had A/C.

I’m a bit scared of dogs so felt a bit nervous initially around the dog (who is very cute and harmless). Despite my initial apprehension I would still come back and really highly recommend the place to stay.

The most incredible & kindhearted hosts! Cute and thoughtfully designed home with the prettiest interior. Clean rooms. Lovely breakfast - the hosts made sure that I had plenty of vegan breakfast options & allowed me to use the kitchen to make small evening meals. The location was only a 12- minute walk from the nearest beach but all beaches were at a nice walking distance and the walk to each beach was very scenic! Everything about this stay was perfect and I cannot wait to come back and stay here again.

I cannot even begin to describe how much joy and wellbeing my stay brought me. Dominique and Bruno are the perfect hosts, so caring, lovely and welcomed me in their house like a friend. The breakfast is fantastic, the room super cozy, everything is very clean and lovely decorated and the view from the terrace is fantastic. The breathtaking beaches (especially Foz do Lizandro) are walking distance, as well as the center of Ericeira. I could’ve not asked for more. Merci beaucoup Dominique et Bruno, vous me manquez déjà!

Great value for the price, the beautiful room with ocean view and a little balcony, cleanness, the pool to chill, super quiet and comfortable sleep! Really nice breakfast (with a view), the pancakes are amazing!! It’s just a 20min walk or a 3 min drive away to the center. And more importantly, Dominique and Bruno were fantastic and such lovely hosts, I cannot thank them enough for the care and hospitality they gave me when I was there, and how helpful they've been when I needed sth or drive me to the pharmacy. It felt like being home, you have your own space and I could also chat with them if I wanted to. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend everyone and love to come back next time! :)) At the breakfast table I was able to meet other guests and have a nice chat.
