Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWhilst the beds were fine and did the job, the linens provided were more a fleece blanket over a sheet but it was warm enough to not need it at all. Can’t say the room was cosy but it was functional, clean and safe.
Fantastic location, very central but down a quiet street. Facilities are as pictured, a tad basic but for the price can’t complain and does the job! Staff were very friendly and helpful, even doing us a big favour and drying our clothes in the dryer after we got caught in the rain and soaked through! Felt safe and clean.

Czech RepublicIf you are not used to sleep in shared rooms, you will not be comfortable. Busy and lots of people walking in and out all night. The beds are very basic and wobly.
The accommodation was very basic, but the location is just great. The check in was easy. Perfect stop oved before heading to the airport.

GermanyIt was a bit noisy on the Saturday night from a party nearby, but it's a price for a very central location. I wish the hostel had some place to eat, there is a fully equipped kitchen and a small dining table with two chairs, but there is no place you can sit and eat your dinner in a bigger group of people.
The friendly staff and asolutely spotless place, the bathrooms and bedrooms are kept in perfect condition. The location is the best you might thinks about, Chiado is a beautiful and arty district, a lot of music on the streets and restoraunt/cafe options are countless.

FranceOnly small issue at one moment was one staff member not having a decent level in english, which was difficult as we were discussing payment procedures. Otherwise very welcoming and a good experience in general.
Staff were very welcoming and caring. Hygiene was excellent, with the staff cleaning the rooms and the bathrooms continuously. There were 3 bathrooms so it was easy to manage. Also the location is very convient to visit the city on foot. Had a great stay and would definetly recommend.

BrazilI asked them a lower bed, because I hurt my knee in that travel, they couldn't help me. The kitchen is so tiny for a place like that, there isn't a place to stay, only a sofa in the entry.
The bedroom is the best I've ever seen, big enough for 4 bed.
