Perfect location to see the island. staff was so helpful and friendly giving recommendations and a wonderful breakfast. Super clean and well decorated. Loved the whole relaxed and peaceful ambiance.

I have no complaints about this accommodation.

The room was fantastic—cozy, comfortable, and felt just like home. The mattress was perfect, the bathroom was well-equipped, and we even had a balcony. The owner and staff were amazing, offering plenty of helpful tips and recommendations for exploring the island. The breakfast was also excellent. If you’ve rented a car, parking is free and available on the street or nearby. I highly recommend staying here!

A bit hard to find as google had it on the south side of the road - it's on the NORTH side - look for the dark brown gate. The temp in the dorm room was hard to regulate (warm and humid) - there was a AC in the room but none of us could figure out how to set it so it was not too hot or not too cold - would be ideal to have some written instructions!

Very clean hostel, fabulous breakfast - including fruit (melon was amazing!), several delicious local cheeses, and ham, plus an assortment of fresh baked breads - wonderful coffee machine too! (Even had almond milk!). Breakfast 8-10:30 am. Wonderful, friendly staff there to help (but mainly during breakfast hours) - they even cleaned our dorm room and made the beds daily! Nice lockers in dorm plus dedicated shelves in dorm bathroom. Very little outside noise. Comfortable kitchen and lounge area. Parking on street across from hostel is free 24/7 - just a bit tricky to find a spot sometimes. (Hint smaller rental car is a benefit as some roads very narrow and parking spots tight!)

The street outside was a bit noisy in the evening and morning hours. However, as experienced travellers, we always carry earplugs with us, so it wasn't a problem.

We decided to go to the Azores at the last moment due to the extreme heat in southern Europe. Without any particular plan, we had only watched one video about São Miguel. Holly Cow was the only place where we could still book a separate room for a reasonable price with all the facilities we required. Although breakfast was a nice bonus, it wasn't a necessity for us. To our surprise, breakfast quickly became our favourite time of the day. Each morning, the host (I think his name was Gustavo) provided us with detailed instructions on where to go, which bus to take, where to eat, where to watch the sunset, and even how to save money on various activities. The level of hospitality was astonishing—far beyond what you'd typically experience in a hotel. Each day was perfectly planned, making our spontaneous trip an incredibly memorable and enjoyable experience. Dear Gustavo, if you read it, thank you very much! Vlad and Olga

The room was very comfortable and quiet, very nice to wind down after a day out on the island. The location couldn't be better, with several very easy and accessible free street parking options near the hostel, and just a 10min walk from the city center with restaurants and bars. The hosts were super welcoming, always happy to share tips about pretty much anything - food, activities, beaches, etc. Very friendly conversations at breakfast that set us up with ideas for the day. Finally, the breakfast. Such good ingredients - the fresh bread, the butter, the melons and cakes and cheese. Woke up every morning looking forward to the bread! We could only stay 4 nights of our trip because the room wasn't available for longer when we booked, otherwise we definitely would! Will recommend it to all the friends that want to visit the islands!

The facility is very clean and seems to have been remodeled within the last 5-10 years. The shower is large and you can actually relax and enjoy your time while taking a shower unlike most hostels. The breakfast is great. It changes slightly from day to day, but in general it included about 5-6 locally produced dairy products (Cheeses, milk, yogurt, butter), variety of homemade cakes and jellies, honey, different varieties of freshly baked bread, fruits, juice, some cold meats, breakfast cereal, almond milk, tea, coffee and best of all an espresso machine with fresh and high quality coffee on demand — no Nescafé here… Mr. Gonçalo is a good host. Nice guy, very professional and seems like he pays attention to every detail in the hostel. He has a lot of information about many things. The hostel is a good value too considering everything. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend.

The beds seemed to be a bit small when you are used to a larger one. Sometimes, room neighbours were heared.

The Hostel is located perfectly close to the City Center. Its very clean and staff ist very friendly and helpful. Each Morning, a nice breakfast was arranged which was very lovely presented. This gives you a perfect start to the day.

The rooms are nice and clean, plus there are lockers for everyone where you can put your valuables. The hostel is at a very convenient location, close to the city centre and there are multiple restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The breakfast had a good variety of savoury and sweet options.

The location was perfect when visiting Ponta Delgada. The hostel room was very clean and luxureous and the beds were good. The staff was really nice and the breakfast was lovely. There was no noise.

The owner and the staff service was extraordinary! Always so helpful and welcoming. Out of all hostels I have been to, this one definitely had one of the most amazing vibes. Also, morning part was my favourite - getting delicious breakfast and talk to the staff, perfect way to start the day. Thanks to the owner, I have had the best surfing lesson ever.
