A few minor points. Lift not working for five of the days we were there. Stairs sometimes had loose strips on edges. Lovely rooftop garden but closed during the day even to sit and read a book. Breakfast for six mornings was fine, but didn’t change greatly. Cooked food tepid. Not much of the latter for vegetarians. On at least one morning could the quiche not have been meat free, could the eggs be varied and some substitute for the two meat options?

The hotel was a treasure! Location! Location! Location! Everything about The Art Inn was perfect. Breakfast was amazing with tons of food and drink choices. The staff were excellent and always available for questions and ready to offer helpful suggestions. And the rooftop restaurant and bar.. top notch!

Bed was broken wasn’t flatbed. And has a lot of stairs after long day.

Perfect location, middle of everything. Terrace with a view, music and service great, worth to stay there. Clean nice room, nicely decorated. Breakfast with a view is nice as well. But no elevator and you have to go on fifth floor for the terrace.

As said before: There are a lot of stairs to be climbed - but the staff is very helpful, they carried the bags to our room. The wifi could be a little more reliable in the guest rooms. And what I missed most was a desk to work on.

This is a centrally located boutique hotel on a small side street just off Rossio square and Restauradores square - both Metro stations, which makes it easy to reach all of Lisbon really easily. Even a taxi ride from Rossio to the Airport was less than € 15 (including surcharge and taxes). The building itself is very old - you need to climb one flight of stairs to reach the reception. There is an elevator from there but it did not work (and even if it did: it is more useful for visitors of the roof top bar than for reaching guest rooms). The rooms are modern and beautifully decorated - each room devoted to a part of town or to one feature of Lisbon - we loved the well-planned shower, the large bed and the large french window in our room. Each day they provide you with a bottle of filtered water. The rooftop bar is one of the best and most popular features of that hotel - they serve breakfast there and it is great to sit there in the afternoon to enjoy the view over Lisbon's town center, the castle and the cathedral. The rooftop terrace seems to be the place where the wifi works best.

The only negative, which I already knew about when booking, were the stairs. Not so much earlier in the day but after a long day of walking knowing I had 5 flights to go up . The museum hallway was a nice break going up!

If you stay on a room with the window facing the main street is - my case - can get too loud during the night.

Atmosphere, everything was in sync; from rooms, personel, facilities to music on the rooftop during breakfast with amazing view on the castle. It is very central, but in a parallel street to Rossio and that was great because it was not noisy.

Grew to love the stairs, and could always have used the lift
