Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere wasn't much that we didn't like. Some of the staff members could have been a bit warmer and the one and only cocktail we had was pretty average.
A lovely little hotel. Carla the lady who checked us in also helped greatly with directions, suggestions and advice. A big thanks to her. A great breakfast provided in the cost. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you Solar de Mos.

United KingdomFor us, older generation, it was a bit of a walk to the old town and the beaches, however we used Uber which was not expensive at all.
We loved a peaceful location and very relaxed atmosphere. Hotel consists of 3 buildings, our bedroom was in modern part of the hotel. Main building had more traditional look. Bedroom was very spacious, large and comfortable bed was made up and fresh towels provided every day. Large swimming pool and pretty garden were superb place to chill out. Staff friendly and very attentive , nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good , variety of different food to choose from. Surprised it is not rated as 4 star hotel . We would love to come back!

Awesome place with very friendly staff. About 15 mins to the beach which is also away from the main centre which suited us perfectly. Bus right outside the door and shop one minute walk away. Bedroom was super clean , breakfast was good & pool was clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Lagos to stay here. We were two girls and we had our Barbie dream come true XD thanks all!

BelgiumWhat not to love! Location is perfect: in a suburb, 10 min walk to Lagos old town and close to all the highlight beaches and views in Lagos. Quality of all the facilities is worth a 10. Want a privacy stay? Check. Want to Connect and get all the ins and outs of the area? Check. Had Some heartwarming chats with our host. Would recommend with no doubt and Will return when traveling to Lagos.

I had been travelling around the Algarve ( solo female traveller) and wanted some peace and tranquility but still wanted to be close to attractions if needed. I certainly got that here and more. Perfect location, easy walking distance to the old town. Beautiful staff who went above and beyond to make my 3 night stay memorable and relaxing. Delightful in every way, every single member of staff were shining stars ⭐

CanadaWe requested a twin room and received the confirmation that we will have it, but the room we got on arrival had one king size bed. It was a late night check-in (kudos to Leticia for a warm welcome!), and the mishap was quickly resolved by Lina next morning, no complaints.
We had a wonderful time in this family-run boutique hotel. It is really a little gem that you discover just after the door opens. Quiet neighborhood, welcoming helpful staff who made us feel like home, nice garden with a pool and a good buffet breakfast. We stayed in an older building with standard rooms, very clean and cozy, there is also another building with modern design and superior rooms, rooftop jacuzzi tub and a gym. The hotel is in almost equal proximity to five different beaches, old town and marina, all within easy reach, a pleasant 20 min walk or 5 min bus ride. It seemed at first the hotel is too far from old town and beaches to walk back and forth. But then we realized that staying away from the busy tourist area feels very peaceful and relaxing. Thank you to the amazing staff, Lina, Carla, Leonor, Leticia and Rita!

CanadaThe only thing our room was missing was a mini fridge. It would be nice if it was a little bit more clear about the old vs new building when booking.
The pool and the rooftop hot tub were great! The included breakfast buffet was a lovely surprise as was the noon checkout. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful.

IcelandThe rooms are not sound proof so you could hear people coughing in the next room./also when people are walking across your room you hear the footsteps and talking. There was a neighbourhood dog that was a little bit annoying, he barked alot during all or our stay(woke us up once) but ofcourse not a problem on the hotel side.
The room was very clean, spacious and just amazing. Had AC, balcony and comfy bed. The breakfast was veeery good, clean hallways to sit down too. The pool was great with nice benches to lay down also with umbrella for some shadow. They borrowed us a umbrella for the beach too with no cost. Staff was amazing, I think her name was Carla she was super helpful with everything gave us detailed information about history of lagos & best things to do. Definitely coming back

GibraltarWe had a problem with the air con unit in our room which was dripping so we had to switch it off. We should have reported it but it was too late. We were informed the next day that "it happens". Not enough parking outside, but thankfully road close by had spaces.
Staff were all lovely & super polite. The breakfast was great. Room sizes really good & pool area nice & chilled.
