We were 7 people (5 adults, 2 children). Initially they checked us into just one apartment, even though we reserved two, but then they realized the mistake and gave us the key to the second one. The conditions were definitely less than 2 stars. My mom is working in an Italian mountain resort as a chef and she said the employees there have better conditions than what we had here. The resort's rooms need urgent renewing, or they should take a couple of stars off.

The location was great, a few minutes walk from the beach and a 15 minute drive from Sintra. The pool area was nice and it seemed to be the main activity of Sintra Sol - the rooms were an afterthought.

We have stayed here 3 days in October. It was easy to find the place. Plenty space for parking. We have got free upgrade to 2 bedrooms suite with pool view and partial sea view. It was nice to have fully equipped kitchen ( no oil, salt or sugar). Water in the swimming pool was freezing. People at reception desk were nice and friendly. We liked this resort. We visited Azenhas do Mar, must see place, only 7 min drive there

The place is very well located, just a few minutes walk from Praia das Maças. It was quiet and calm, and I enjoyed the saltwater swimming pool a lot! The flat was clean and confortable. I Would happily come back :)

It would be an excellent idea to wash the curtains often, they were smelling. Whole building needs a renovation, specially outside area.

There wasn't much that we weren't happy with. I think a safe in the room would have been useful as it would have given us a place to securely store valuables. The place looked a little run down from the outside, but I could see they had grounds people attending to the place.

Apartment- Nice apartment, spacious, clean, had what we needed. The kitchen had a hob, fridge, sink, cutlery, plates, utensils, pots and pans, etc. Only thing the kitchen was missing was scissors and a peeler. Lovely big sofa in the living area that can convert into two single beds. The bed in the bedroom was massive (either king or bigger!) and comfortable. The pillows were not so good but the duvet was nice and they supplied extra blankets in the wardrobe. The shower was easy to use and high power which helped to get all the sand off. We also had a balcony. Location- Lovely spot, right on the doorstep of the Praia das Macas beach (3 min walk). The 'town centre' (4 min walk) itself had a supermarket (supermercado camarao) which had everything we needed to make our own food, including gluten free bread and biscuits. There were a couple of bar/ cafes in the town that we visited, we especially liked Barmacia which had a great view of the beach and a stack of games to play. There was also a pharmacy in the centre. Its a quiet little place on the coast, great if you want to have a relaxing beach type holiday, but if you are looking for something a bit more lively then its probably not the best place to visit. We did a couple days in Lisbon before coming here which gave us a nice balance of busy city and quiet coastline. Hospitality- We picked our keys up at reception, there always seemed to be someone at reception from 8am to 6pm, and I think they may have had someone on reception at night but we didn't go out at night so cant confirm. The receptionists were friendly and spoke English, they lent us beach towels and made us feel welcome. Things to do- As well as the nearby beaches and cafes, there was a market (Sintr'Aroma) virtually opposite the apartment that was open from around 9am till 1pm and you could buy fresh vegetables, fruit, and fish.

The photos on the website look better than the room, which was a bit tired looking but that didn't compromise the comfort.

It was the closed season and there was work going on but the shower in my room was not attached properly the wifi was sketchy but did work, the room was clean and spacious.

Pick up of keys very easy and very helpful staff, explained everything, gave me some local information. in all good experience.

Spacious motel style unit with kitchenette- quiet location, lower side of a waterpark - easy walk into town centre (400m?) for dinner. Very dated, but freshly painted & clean inside; had everything we needed for 1 night & would be happy to stay again

The place was a little run down. It cost 150 Euros a night and didn't live up to the pictures.

Close to the beach and other amenities, free and secure parking. Clean room with all you need to spend your holidays. Tidy gardens around, would be nice in summer when all pools will be full

Door to the apartment was very tricky to open and I had to keep asking someone for help with the door. Bed wasn’t too comfy as it needed a new mattress but I still slept very well

Cleaned daily, the apartment was spacious, it was very quiet and peaceful, the staff were very helpful despite the language barrier, beautiful beach view from the balcony and located in a quaint friendly little tow

Old restaurant at the hotel looks to be totally abandoned which might be a missed opportunity, so if you want a proper meal instead of a snack you have to leave the property. Do NOT open your eyes in the pool, never have I ever been so hurt by whatever they put in there, took like 5 minutes for my eyes to stop screaming in pain. Pool really is cold, so just plunge yourself in there and deal with it.

Amazing value for money: beautiful location where everything in Praia das Macas is a 5 minute walk away, the pool is vast and fun, the snackbar is solid, the rooms were way larger than expected, the beds were decently comfortable, the balconies were great, adjoining rooms for large groups seemed pretty easy (we got it), and the staff was nice.

We love'd the staff - very helpful and friendly. The apartment was very cozy, airy and clean. We were positively surprised by the massive bed in the bedroom and large balcony. Awesome! The views were also great. Seeing the sunset in the Atlantic from your balcony is not something you see every day. :)
