Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwedenThe room was amazing, it felt like being in an old castle. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The view from the window was unique. The location is excellent, located in the heart of old town, next to the old cathedral. There were many nice bars and restaurants nearby, as well as shops. The main street was only a few minutes in walking distance. The staff is great, very friendly and polite. Special thanks to Joao and Tatiana, for the exceptional hospitality and very kind behaviour!

SpainThe bathroom was not as new as in the pictures, so I think it would be good to improve these facilities and leave free shapoo in the showers for people.
The location could not have been better to walk to wherever you wanted to go as the hostel was only two metres away from the old cathedral, saving you a lot of time getting from one place to another. Also, the staff was very friendly and healpful in everything you needed during your stay. To conclude, the room was very spacious and well equipped.

The location was great; right in the center and close to the University. Our room was very clean and it had everything we needed. Even though the bathrooms were on a different floor and they were gym-like, we didn't have to wait to take a shower or anything. The staff was friendly and we could leave our bags for a couple of hours after we checked out.

ItalyThe room needs to be updated. My door would not close unless I slammed it. Every night droves of university students linger in the square below shouting, singing and disturbing.
The facility is clean and cosy, the bathrooms new and functional. The staff was very friendly and helpful in solving any problems. The environment was nice and refined in details.

United KingdomThere were no windows in our room which was a bit claustrophobic. and the children’s bunk beds were in a room that backed onto a hallway and the only thing between them and the hallway were some wooden double doors. It was very noisy. They didn’t sleep very well and were tired both days..Next we will make sure to pick the right room.

This hostel is wonderful overall. The staff are exceptionally nice and helpful. The building inside is beautiful and has a very interesting history to it. The beds are quite comfortable. The location is perfect and I loved being able to eat breakfast with views of the cathedral right out front. The bathrooms and showers were spacious.
