-definitely a party hostel for people in their 20s and not recommended for sleep-sensitive people in their 30s. the hostel bar is noisy with music until 11pm every night. The plus is that the music did stop reliably at 11pm on the dot every night, and after that, it’s pretty quiet. But because they give you a voucher for a free drink upon check-in, most of your dormmates will probably be at the hostel bar and come into the room past 11pm when the bar closes, turning on lights, etc. -coffee is machine coffee only, so not that caffeinating -nice garden but would be better if they enforced a no smoking rule there because the smoke made it hard to enjoy -Pillows too empty and soft and no neck support. But that’s how all hostel pillows are. -the shower is the button kind that you press to make water come out with, but again, that’s in all hostels

-it feels like it’s run by a corporate chain in a good way, meaning they’ve thought of everything and have processes for everything, signage and processes run smoothly and efficiently, have a website and QR codes everywhere, luggage storage, etc. -privacy curtains on the dorm beds -Friendly and helpful staff -the kitchen is fancy! It was extremely hot in the room and it wasn’t possible to change the A/C, only through front desk. Even when it was turned on it didn’t do much. I unfortunately didn’t sleep well. Also only 2 bathrooms on the floor, one of which had a shut door for the most part, but I think a guest did that. Anyways, it got a little crowded

Lacking good AC plugs in rooms. Key system are inconfortable bracelets for which you must pay 8€ (refundable if key kept in good condition) and must keep with you all the time, because not detachable. It feels like visiting a water park.

It was my first time staying in a hostel as a solo traveller and this hostel has really set my standards high because the aesthetic is really beautiful especially the imperial garden and the staffs are very friendly,nice and helpful I 100% recommend and the next time I’ll be in Portugal I’ll definitely come back

When you want to have breakfast the people who are responsible from the kitchen area saying that you are not allowed to have it unless you are paying and i was saying that yes after that i'll but they are not even listening, this is really rude manner, they need stop behaving their guests like burglars sorry for that but it was really insulting, i stayed lots of hostels it was the first I've been facing, for breakfast, usually they are asking your name and room number, I strongly recommend that..

It was the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed. The staff who was working at reception was really helpfull really appreciate for them.

Breakfast didn't have good vegan choices. It's a bit far from downtown but not too bad.

There were courtyards with recliners where guests could chill. The bar was also a nice addition. There were events every day in which solo guests could connect with each other. There were plenty of bathrooms and showers. They were kept clean well. Coffee was free for all guests, even if you don't buy breakfast from them, during the breakfast time.

The neighborhood was a little wild at night; someone was loudly screaming at 4 am in drunk revelry, but that can't be controlled.

I love how close it is located to Bilbao station and to Se cathedral. Room was clean and easy to access.

The showers didn’t drain well during my stay. Would’ve been good (in my case with no GPS) to have detailed map of the city available.

The breakfast was great light fare, and you can cook yourself eggs if wanted. Coffee is vending machine dispenser but good, kitchen is clean and nicely laid out like a restaurant. The room had four beds (steel bunks) with light blocking privacy curtains, USB/power and personal bed light; comfortable beds and no squeaking. A large drawer under the bed was quiet and made for easy access to belongings and keeping the room clean. The open windows were large with iron bars for security and allowed for great ventilation and cooling (AC also if needed). The bathroom was large with many stalls and showers, kept clean. The old convent garden was such a treat to relax in with comfortable lounge chairs or small tables, and their own bar/cafe! Beautiful restoration job and tastefully designed improvements. The key system is genius. 24/7 registration desk attendant; great help in navigating the city.

There was nothing to dislike about this property, but there are many stairs, which is not an issue, but it would be if a person had mobility issues.

Amazing shared facilities! Huge kitchen and dining area, really big and beautiful garden. In the evenings there is another part of the garden open with drinks available and the vibes there are fantastic. The building itself is also really nice, and I liked that the top bunks had curtains for privacy and didn't creak like a lot of others do.

The basin taps, too much wasted water.

The nostalgic atmosphere, along with the beautiful garden areas. The convenience of a bus/tram stop outside the door. Delicious breakfasts. The location, it's very close to downtown Lisbon and just far enough away to feel you are experiencing the local culture.
