The pools was very cold. An out door pool with no water warming up in the morning is very bad especially for children. The pool side was empty cos not even adults go in to the cold water. The breakfast was not up to 5 stars standard. No life-cooking and very limited options that never changed. There is no sauna or spa.

The room was very big, bed very comfortable. I have scoliosis and didn’t experience any pain during my night there. The house keeping did a great job.

The entrance were wet during rain and I almost tripped over on more than two occasions

Suite size is very generous and the design quite appealing. The outside pool was lovely and you can get to the beach from a specific access.

Be careful with pet rules, as they are different from what is written on booking.com. For example, you can't come with a pet bigger than 10 kg, but there is no listing information about that. However, the staff understood my situation and checked us in. In the morning it was always a queue to the breakfast, do we had to wait a bit to be seated. But general, these issues are not critical.

The territory is nice, the hotel is big and clean, and it has several pools.

Out of the four hotels we visited in the Algarve, this was the only one that charged an additional tourist tax—not a huge issue, but somewhat annoying. Although we booked a pool view, it was blocked by palms. The pool needed better cleaning, with lots of sand and some dark spots on the tiles.

The rooms were spacious and had a good standard. The pool area was pleasant, and the facilities met 5-star expectations.

We booked the roof top restaurant before our trip for our first night only to find that it had closed the night before we arrived.

Very comfortable room. Excellent pool areas, Good proximity to the beach. Located in a nice, quiet area.

Tiny toilet/shower room in comparison to the Junior suite ( was quite spacious), hooks still missing in the bathroom, not much changed since our last visit, the shower door wasn’t watertight, had water in the bathroom all the time, which wasn’t comfortable. Bathrooms looked slightly shabby. The outdoor pools were freezing, so not many customers could actually swim. They don’t have any indoor pools like a nearby hotel Vida Mar we stayed before, so there wasn’t much to do on a rainy day, apart from going shopping to Algarve Shopping Centre. The lack of Spa facilities was disappointing. They did, however, offered some massages ( in another hotel) No activities or kids club, which would make a big difference, no yoga or Pilates classes for adults, so for a 5 star hotel it’s again disappointing.

Friendly, relaxed staff, clean, comfortable rooms ( apart from tiny bathrooms) good breakfast choices, a nice location, a private hotel path going to a beautiful beach, close to Algarve shopping centre and Zoomarine.

Just wish there were a few more local bars and restaurants nearby

This was my 3rd visit to Salgados Dunes Suites. I will be returning in 2025. The hotel has everything I want for a relaxing break away in the sun ☀️

Not able to access other than adult rated movies despite asking. Mix up by staff so our breakfasts were not included. Reception staff need more info re how to help tourists know what property has to offer. We were unaware only two buffets a day was only eating option on site. Breakfast buffet included; dinner an additional cost.

Nothing we don't like. The only misunderstood is even though there are 3 rooms in the suites, it can only host 6 people instead of 3 families. We end up with booked an extra room to fit for 8 people (3 families).

The ocean view of the hotel is perfect!!! You can walk to the beach internal from hotel within 5 minutes, we enjoyed staying on the beach for fun, and especially the perfect sunset view. I have never saw such amazing sunset anywhere else in the world. The staffs are nice, and the suites we booked is big and nicely accommodate 3 families.
