Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

QatarIt’s dated, very dated, needs a bit of TLC, updating, complete refurbishment of the tests and the menu is firmly stuck in the 80s. Some weird rules about where you could sit to eat from the different menus available in the bar and restaurant which are right beside each other. Far too many restaurant staff for the level of service. Food was served raw and had to be sent back.
Check in staff on reception were so warm and welcoming. Great location near to the airport and a good choice if you have an early flight in the morning.

FinlandIt was quite far away from the centre, but it was what was left when Taylor Swift was in town. Otherwise we probably wouldn't have chosen it. Located just next to a busy multi-lane road. But it wasn't difficult to get there. Several in the staff weren't particularly helpful or nice, unfortunately.
The room was very large and comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of options and was quite good.

PolandWhilst it’s clean and well maintained it’s tired in places, it looks like something out of Twin Peaks, quite creepy. The walls are thin and we were unlikely to be surrounded by several drink groups making plenty of noise in the early hours. That’s not the staffs fault, just unlucky I guess.
Location for an earlier flight, very friendly receptionist.

We stayed here as we had an early flight the next morning. The hotel was pretty standard and as expected. The room was clean and the bathroom good. We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant as we were too tired to go out again and were pleasantly surprised. The food and the service were great and reasonable priced.

Hotel is old but not outdated. Location near the airport is good and you don't hear planes in the room. Breakfast was very good. The best thing was that we got a late check-out without any problem! No problem with the lifts either, which was good when staying on the 10th floor.

United KingdomHad to ask for bedding for sofa bed which wasn’t in the room when we arrived, but that is a very minor thing and we got pillows brought up quickly when we asked for them.
Breakfast was excellent and staff were superb. Reception staff were fantastic!
