Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandQuinta Tagus is a wonderful place to spend time in. Both the interiors and the surrounding garden make a big impression. Also, there is a wonderful panoramic view of Lizbon. The rooms are very clean and tidy, the restaurant serves tasty breakfasts and the staff is very kind, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and surely will return in the future, as it is a unique place.

United KingdomNothing much. A little difficult to find.
Very friendly with traditional atmosphere. Beautiful location on the opposite bank to the city. It was tranquil after a long day in the city and with a car to reach public transport and the advice on offer, just right.

United StatesWe had some uninvited insects visit our room who come at sunset. They were harmless and the staff sprayed against them with no problem the following night.
The breakfast was lovely either indoors or outdoors. Currently, you have unlimited choice off the menu and they are happy to bring you whatever you like. The grounds and endless views of the Tagus River are amazing as is the natural setting. We didn't have a chance to swim in the pool however it looked inviting. We left early in the morning and, upon request, they made sure we had some food to take with us in place of the morning breakfast. The staff went out of their way to help including Pedro and Carolina.

United StatesThis was an incredible property! It was at the end of a glorious month in Portugal..and the amenities were superb! While the weather did not allow for swimming at that time, the pool area and surrounding seating and green space was wonderful to enjoy with a glass of wine and snacks! The stables were a joy to visit and learn about the residents there.. While it is across the Tagus from Lisbon proper...it was a stunning night view and we couldn't have been happier.

NetherlandsThe house/room where I slept could use a renovation. It is a bit old, and the shower drain smelled bad. I let the shower run for a while to wash out the smell. It was also my fault that I didn't inform the staff while I was there. But overall, it was a pleasant experience at Quinta Tagus, and you quickly forget the negative points because the positive points far outweigh the negative ones.
The location and view were absolutely stunning! We had a breathtaking view of the city, the mountains, the horses at the hotel stable, and the river. It was truly a perfect place to relax and get some work done simultaneously. The staff was friendly and professional, and we felt very welcomed when we checked in at 11:30 PM. Before our arrival, we also had excellent communication with the receptionist. The place is even more beautiful than the pictures!

United StatesThe road to get to it is quite narrow and you have to plan around busy bridge traffic if you have lots planned in Lisbon and aren't driving. This isn't a problem if you give yourself some time for cushioning though.
Absolutely beautiful countryside feel with an incredible view. We had an incredible stay and the staff were very friendly and ready with excellent recommendations amd advice.

United StatesTargus was wonderful!! Beautiful location - across the River Targus from the city of Lisbon. The best staff - especially Pedro and Flavio! Gorgeous and tasty food. My compliments to the chef!! I have no complaints whatsoever, only happiness at staying at this beautiful location. This location is outside of Lisbon, but well worth it. It's not hard to get into Lisbon. We took an Uber to the ferry. Ferry ride was short - maybe 15-20 mins. Ferry departure is in the city of Lisbon. I rate this location highly if you love beautiful scenic views, peace and quiet. You won't regret it.

PortugalRoom lighting strange set-up , impossible to have on only one bedside light so using bathroom during the night meant one had to "floodlight" the whole room.
Location with wonderful view, very peaceful environment yet not too far from Lisobon. Ideal for a relaxing few days away. Excellent service by staff, helpful , cheerful and efficient . Very good dinner menu and pleasant breakfast.

United KingdomBreakfast could be better (a bit more variety), WiFi was pretty poor (though it's a good place to disconnect).
View!, the property and grounds, the bed and room was huge, as was the terrace. Quiet. Restaurant food was delicious.

UkraineMinor things : 1) no any fridge in the room so you can't have any cooled drinks or food which is not really ok 2) a bit an issue with sound insulation on doors and walls, so neighbors are closer then supposed to be 😉 3) no any bath, disposable slippers which obviously required for visiting terrace or even simple disposable sanitary kits 4) no anti mosquito protection on the windows so you will get a ot of bad guys inside of the room
Great location in the silence and nature with great view on Lisboa. Friendly and helpful staff.

United KingdomThe devil is in the detail - just staying on top of the small touches. Also there is a slight smell of sewage in the toilets - but I expect this comes with the territory of fazenda (farmhouse) plumbing...
Pound for pound this is one of the best hotels in Lisbon. While it may not be true 5* luxury in terms of facilities & finish, it makes up in abundance in those things which are not as easily put on paper ... beautiful views around every corner, a true sense of calm, and a feeling of home. The breakfast is also up there with the best.

Czech RepublicEverything was wonderful! Unique experience! If you travel by car to Lisbon, it’s the best accommodation. Pedro & Gonzalo were super lovely, great chat! Top notch breakfast. I’d love to repeat although I never do that… but New Year’s Eve must be amazing there! Also nearby surroundings are wow! Cleanliness, staff, everything… 10! Felt like home away from home really.

United KingdomThe facilities though are looking tired and in need of some care and attention. The garden loungers have seen better days and the balcony decking and furniture looked shabby. In the room, (Pinheiro) a couple of chairs would improve the comfort as it was quite basic. The bathroom needs some TLC.... There were some power issues while there.
New Years Eve Dinner was excellent, great food and excellent wines. The service was super and the views of Lisbon for the fireworks was wonderful. It was great to walk around the gardens, super views across the Tagus to the city. The room was quite big with loads of space. The staff were great, friendly and helpful.
