Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI was disappointed the pool was not heated and didn't use the beautiful pool for this reason. Otherwise, there was little to be disappointed in. Great getaway. If you are wanting to be close to the city, ie walking distance, this is not the place, however there is bus service close by at the university about 1 mile away from the Quinta Tagus.
This is an amazing country villa feel among the countryside, grape vineyards, orchards, and horses. You are only 15 minutes from the Lisbon Old Town across the Ponte 25 de Abril Tagus River Suspension Bridge. The view of Belem Tower, Monument of Discoveries, Caiscais, Sintra Pena Palace, and of course the main portion of Lisbon is spectacular. Ok, I could go on and on about the panoramic views from the Quinta Tagus. We chose to stay in the Panorama Room with a large living space with walk-in closet, large bath with walk-in shower, and separate WC room across from the bath. The panoramic view extends through sliding glass doors out onto a large wooden deck. My daughter stayed in a smaller separate room that suited her needs well and also had a nice view. She particularly enjoyed feeding apples and pears to the horses being boarded on the property. Out beyond the large pool and expansive grass area, I enjoyed lounging in a private gazebo for hours one day to just read a book and watch the ship traffic and sailboats pass by on the river. With the property wrapping around the villas, there is plenty of places to take long walks under the pine trees out towards the closer river view and back up the canyons nearby which we took advantage of doing. So what really makes this place extra special was our experiences with the Team of professionals that operate the facility and cared for us. The breakfast team led by a friendly and humorous Flavio served us in the glass enclosed panoramic view dining area providing hand selected and prepared fruits, freshly baked breads, tea, coffee, juices, meats, and cheeses, cereals, omelets, and yoghurt to fuel our busy days walking in Lisbon. We chose to have dinner on two different nights at the Quinta Tagus Dining because of the exquisite and tasty seafood and vegetarian dishes served by Maria and Carolina. Pedro at reception was a great guide to sites to see in Lisbon. He is also quite the surfer oficionado.

United StatesWe had some uninvited insects visit our room who come at sunset. They were harmless and the staff sprayed against them with no problem the following night.
The breakfast was lovely either indoors or outdoors. Currently, you have unlimited choice off the menu and they are happy to bring you whatever you like. The grounds and endless views of the Tagus River are amazing as is the natural setting. We didn't have a chance to swim in the pool however it looked inviting. We left early in the morning and, upon request, they made sure we had some food to take with us in place of the morning breakfast. The staff went out of their way to help including Pedro and Carolina.

NetherlandsThe house/room where I slept could use a renovation. It is a bit old, and the shower drain smelled bad. I let the shower run for a while to wash out the smell. It was also my fault that I didn't inform the staff while I was there. But overall, it was a pleasant experience at Quinta Tagus, and you quickly forget the negative points because the positive points far outweigh the negative ones.
The location and view were absolutely stunning! We had a breathtaking view of the city, the mountains, the horses at the hotel stable, and the river. It was truly a perfect place to relax and get some work done simultaneously. The staff was friendly and professional, and we felt very welcomed when we checked in at 11:30 PM. Before our arrival, we also had excellent communication with the receptionist. The place is even more beautiful than the pictures!

United StatesThe road to get to it is quite narrow and you have to plan around busy bridge traffic if you have lots planned in Lisbon and aren't driving. This isn't a problem if you give yourself some time for cushioning though.
