Honestly nothing, there were no issues

The place is in a great location. Easy to get to from the airport. The views are great. You can walk 5mins and your at supermarket, restaurants and a few bars. You can walk down the hill and in 15 mins be at more restaurants and a great promenade. The bus to Funchal is eu2.20 and super easy to get (number 155). The place is clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely but never needed.

We spent a week and it would have been nice if the room was cleaned a couple of times during our stay. Also, there was no hair wash, conditioner and shower gel in the bathroom.

The accommodation was only 10 minutes away from the airport, which was really convenient. The area was quite with a supermarket, cafes and restaurants only a short walk away. The garden and the house are beautiful and very nicely kept. Since we traveled in January we didn't use the pool as it was a bit too cold, but it looked really nice and clean.

Once you settled in after a day of experiencing Madera and want to use the TV, you are restricted to only live-broadcast TV channels as there are no smart functions in the TV set. It is a rather oldish and small lcd Samsung TV which doesn’t have smart apps).

We generally liked here, the house was really spacious, it had two separate AC units (both for thr living room and bedroom), two fully equipped bathrooms and covered parking spaces so your car wouldn’t get hot during the day. I must also mention that the internet provided was ultra - fast (up to 500 mbps :)) so you could also handle some workation :)

There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room. Maybe a mosquito net would help for this, but at this moment there is no hook to attach it too.

The building and garden is really beautiful and the pool was nice too. During our stay in September we most of the time had it for ourselves. It was a little paradise for us nearby Funchal, but without the busy city life.

Cooking facilities are a bit limited for eating in everyday but good enough for breakfast and light dinner. Mosquitoes can be annoying but can be dealt with.

The property was very quiet and well appointed, with good facilities ( washing machine, swimming pool, kettle, coffee machine, etc). Within waking distance (7-10 mins) to local shops and restaurants and 10-15 mins by car to Funchal. It was exceptionally clean with good quality linen in both rooms we rented. Patricia popped in a few times to check everything was okay

Beautiful surroundings, located nearby botanical garden. The garden is taken good care of, with a nice swimming pool. Interior is just amazing- feels like in a castle. Welcoming owners. Strongly recommended, we will be back 🙂 Greetings from Poland!

One of the best places we stayed in so far. Gabriela was very friendly and attentive, nothing was a problem. Very nice place, well maintained, very well equipped with everything you may need (even the washing machine), amazing pool area and nice views. Great location yet quiet with enough privacy. We also got a complimentary bottle of wine in our room which was just a cherry on the top 😊

Place is more or less perfect so if I had to mention something: a cutting board in the kitchen. But really I can't say there was anything we didn't like!

We booked Quinta da Paz for four nights on basis of the rave reviews we'd read. And we weren't disappointed. Everything lived up to expectations. Apartment #1 has recently been renovated and has everything you'd wish for. And Patricia is indeed very helpful and attentive.

The pool was really cold but it's probably common in most of the local villas in the wintertime. Also I expected more privacy in the garden attached to the studio.

Nice villa with a pool and beautiful garden, well maintained, next to a small botanical garden and spa. You can walk to the city center and the beach. I really liked the soundproof walls - at night with closed window you don't hear anything and can have a quiet sleep. Excellent communication with the property.

Only good to be aware that you’ll need to take a bus or Bolt/Uber to Funchal or elsewhere. It’s a short walk to shops, restaurants ,& cafes…good location …just expect to take a 20-30 min bus ride into Funchal. If you want something away from town this is great!

Wonderful stay! Lovely location, beautiful accommodation, and the hosts were so kind and helpful. The owner even helped my boyfriend and I by driving us to the airport when we left being we had a time crunch. Great hospitality, comfortable, well equipped room…we’d definitely book here again !
